Yep. yeah, either if you prefer to payless or feel so many months down the line you won't need it.

No, it's card free. You do it though their app. Though I think you can ask them for one though.

Don’t people have to pay online fees with Sinemia since they don’t have cards now?

Yes - Sinemia only currently offers the cardless service which requires you to purchase advanced tickets through a 3rd party vendor - Atom, Movietickets.com, AMC, etc. They generally charge a $1 - $2 service fee which you are required to pay (Oops, I guess they forgot to mention that when I signed up).

Fortunately, there are workarounds. If you purchase your ticket through Facebook Movies, the service charge is waived, which I believe is also the case for AMC Stubs members purchasing tickets through AMC.

Another word of warning - Their customer service is horrible, No phone support and I have yet to received a response to any of the emails I have sent. I have heard that they actually respond on Twitter. Just never figured I'd have to get a twitter account just for Sinemia.

And as long as I'm at it, their app is not exactly intuitive and user-friendly.

Long story short, it's definitely a value from a price perspective (and I'll put up with a lot for cheap movies), but there are times when it can be a frustrating experience.

Today was a good day at the theater. I saw Venom using Sinemia and gave away a Moviepass ticket to a senior citizen. Just to let people know...I cancelled my yearly subscription (it expires mid November) a month or two ago and can still use Moviepass until it actually expires.

So I will keep donating a MP ticket when I use Sinemia unless the movie I actually want to see is not blacked out — which has never occurred since they started doing that.

I randomly browsed through my app today and the showtimes for A Star is Born were all over the place. Some theaters only had day showings and no night showings, other theaters only had night showings but no day showings, some only had one showing listed for the entire day. And checking just now, all remaining showtimes have been cleared.

All the e-ticket theaters have many showings. The ones where you have to check-in at theater are totally blacked out.

i gave up on movie pass as of last week. It was a good ride but im tired of only 3 shows a month, MP choosing the few films per week to lets us see, and the weird "no more screenings today" even tho you know there are showings at the theater you want.
im switching to amc a list for $20 per month no restrictions up to 3 films a week, and includes reservations, imax, dolby atmos, 3d showings, and amc dinein theaters. I suggest if you want to continue switch to amc a list, OR if you like the $10 per month 3 showings go with Sinemia which doesnt restrict theaters.

Today the only movie showing up in my app is Venom, which I have already seen. This makes two days in a row that I can't watch anything. I only have Moviepass now for the Regal digital copies, so hopefully they can get it together before Halloween comes out.

Does the app trick still work for you?

Trying to check in for The Hate U Give later tonight and keep getting this message on the top of the app:

Error making reservation. Try again later. You can use MoviePass at an e-ticketing theater.

Has this been going on lately with post-12am check-ins? Or am I just the lucky guinea pig?

Can we see 3D or IMAX with the monthly plan? Looking on their site, it sounds like you can't...

Honestly, I don't know the app trick. I just want the service to work after all the changes to the terms of service. I've put up with a lot of crap in the last year, and since we're down to 3 movies a month they need to at least get that right.

Bummer. Can you see movies multiple times, or is it once per film like MP did?

No, you can see it as many times as you want with Sinemia.

Has anyone ever submitted a request to customer support, and if so, how long did it take to get a response, if at all?

I changed my email address on the app, and I think it messed up my account. Customer support on the app told me to sign out and back in to take care of an error, but now I can't sign back in at all. Using both email addresses, I tried to get a password reset sent but got nothing back. Been on hold on the phone for a long time now, so I submitted a request.
