You have Starlord, Drax, and Tony Stark in the same movie, you know there are gonna be some jokes.

In all honesty/in my opinion the Guardians are what made this film so enjoyable.

Plus, if one watched Ragnarok (which leads into this film more directly) you do also get to briefly see the character and his powers there.
[Show spoiler]I'm not sure it's necessary, but having seen Dr. Strange's conclusion you then know EXACTLY what Thanos is doing when Scarlett Witch destroys the Mind Stone. As you said though, his backstory from the film is mostly irrelevant (although it does give you a bit of understanding about why he and Tony can't stand one another at first - they're too much alike)

5/5 I saw the film today. It's as if someone (or something) ripped my heart out, stomped on it, and gave it back to me in pieces.

Someone = Thanos
Something = a Titan

I have to see it again to anoint it the best ever. I have a feeling combining Infinity War and Avengers 4 will be a way to hand it that title forever.

Ah, thanks.

Tbh, 2nd viewing just cemented my love for it.
Last time I had this feeling was Avengers 1 and I hat have watched that hundreds of times, no exaggeration.

Is it bad am thinking of going again later today?
I’ve not slept, it’s shitty rain outside and I need to stay awake u to, earlier evening to try and jump start my sleep pattern into something normal...

Would be 3rd in just under a week....

Bad? Well, I've paid to see it multiple times but have seen it all the way through only once.

Fans do crazy stuff... paid to see it on Thursday and Friday AND Saturday but only watched an hour or so of the movie. My friends and I walked out as to extend the experience and NOT see the whole movie. (watched a little bit more every time) Then, we joined more people and saw the entire film on Sunday. Thus, a 2 hour and 40 minute movie turned in to a 4 day event for us.

Yep...

That actually makes me feel loads better...I just booked the 10am IMAX and was toying with the 4D (funky moving seats) showing directly after(though it involves an hrs wait between)
I don’t think I could drag myself away like you though it’s great idea to prolong the first screening experience

Could do same as you, now i’ve Seen it all. and watch part of it for that hr in standard 2D screen(the 2D wouldn’t cost me but the other two are £6 for iMAX and £4.70 4Dbox)

Avengers: Infinity War
(2nd-viewing)

[Show spoiler]Everyone dies. Not really but there's absolutely no way the people who died stay dead because there's a third Guardians of the Galaxy movie and a second Spider-Man: Homecoming. Different people may or may not take over their roles I don't know. Shuri may be the next Black Panther? Speaking of him when I saw T'Challa disappears in to the distance and everybody in the audience gasps I'm thinking from a Disney and Marvel standpoint that's your moneymaker you just got rid of. Did they do that before they knew he was going to bring in billions of dollars. Spider-Man death was an emotional one. Loki bit the dust first but I don't trust that because he died before and came back. Heimdall is gone we see him get killed we see Gamora die, but she can't be died. Pretty sure The Collector is dead. Those are the ones we see get their own individual drive the story forward deaths. At the end of the movie when you see Thanos succeed in collecting all the Infinity stones and snaps his fingers people start turning into ash and disappear that becomes a lot of characters as in Black Panther and Falcon and Spider-Man and Doctor Strange and Star-lord and Drax and Groot and Mantis and Scarlet Witch who gets a much bigger role and Vision gets killed but doesn't disappear. Bucky disappears while Captain America watches and in the stinger at the very end we see Maria Hill disappear and Nick Fury right after hits the beacon which I believe is a nod to Captain Marvel. So amongst the problems or me being mad at the choices made are one when Scarlet Witch destroys the mind stone Thanos uses the time stone and just rewinds and gets it. It was a big plot point in Doctor Strange it had me thinking why didn't he use it more and do whatever he wants and not have the avengers lured in a false sense of victory? The movie wants the power of the shock of killing off half the universe I was like wow they really went there but it took a second and I'm like it cant be true with all the other movies to come. It takes the bite out of that shock but it's still a gut punch. Somethings I like was we got more info on Gamora and her motivations and relationship with her "father" which was an interesting way to show a side of Thanos. He really loves her and shows that love by pushing her off a cliff. Thor's interaction with the Guardians their dynamic works like a fish out of water nature of Thor and the wackiness of the Guardians that is funny. Iron-Man with Doctor Strange are both quick-witted and verbal and it works. I loved that Red Skull came back that was a big surprise. One question what happen to Valkyrie from Thor: Ragnorok ? She was also on the ship in the beginning. Did they kill her off screen? Anyways that all the spoilers I wanted to talk about. This was definitely movie I had to see again there is so much that happens so fast that you can't possibly take it all in so I do think everyone should see it at least two times.

A perfect solution to replace
[Show spoiler]Starlord
for
[Show spoiler]GotG Vol.3

Since Disney owns both Marvel and Starwars just sub in
[Show spoiler]Solo
for
[Show spoiler]Starlord?

And
[Show spoiler]Chewy
can replace
[Show spoiler]Groot
since they're so alike...

There ya go, Disney, another money making machine

Why did you put all this in spoiler tags? You just said replace starlord and groot with Solo and Chewie for Disney to earn more money. How is that a spoiler?

[Show spoiler]Starlord and Groot
needing replacing is a bit of a buzz kill for those who haven’t seen the film yet.

Saw it yeaterday at 3pm and the theater was half full. Impressive for a Wednesday afternoon.

Hell of a film. Thought they balanced the storylines the best you possibly could.
IMO had the most balls out of any Marvel or DC movie ever.

I cant vote in the poll on my phone but 5 stars from me.

Happy 10 year anniversary to the MCU because Iron Man was released 10 years ago today!

What a superb ride it has been for a decade!!!
