After having the phone on hold for 46 minutes, I get a recording that says they can't attend to my call and to call back later.
![]() Maybe this is the end of the MoviePass road for me. Of course, since I can't log in, I can't cancel, which means they'll try to renew me next year... if they're even around by then. |

Out of a stupid foolish hope I kept my moviepass sub alive without paying for it, by loading a used up prepaid visa card I had laying around from a rebate. After 3 months of hoping it would get better, and like 35 Payment failed emails (all threatening to cancel my account if it stays past due for another payment cycle, but never cancelling)
I decided they were never going to make it back to something useful and end it. Sad to see it go, but not like I was using it these past three months anyhow. |

Not thread crapping but I just want to say how extremely easy and convenient it has been using A-List in only two days of having the service. I ain't looking back on MP at all. Only saw a thread bump and felt I needed to comment.

I have to keep it strictly for the smaller films and awards contenders at this point while using A-List also. After January, I’ll re-evaluate my subscription plans.....that is, if MP doesn’t get worse and worse by then.

It’s easy to not look back, after you’re cut off for abusing privileges (getting tickets with MP to one film, and seeing another). Some of their stooges are members here; I doubt much gets past them, especially when they were desperate to cut off abusers.

Is this cause for concern? I check into a movie and use my MP card, no problem. The movie doesn’t register on the app at all, which still tells me I have one more movie this cycle. I looked up the card history and funds were loaded to it and used at the theater, but the remaining balance has yet to unload. My account details on the app also just disappeared, no name, no personal data and now it’s saying my cycle renews on unknown.

They are now under investigation from New York Attorney General's office for potentially misleading investors and could face civil or criminal charges. Not at all surprised to see this investigation launched given the company's history of being very misleading about their financial situation in public statements and shareholder meetings. |

Good. They deserve to burn.
So looking at the week's movies, Halloween is only being offered tonight so I now have to rearrange my evening (that is if they don't take the showtime down before I get out of work and we can make it to the theater). Which then means I can't see The Old Man and the Gun. Oh and now that The Sisters Brothers is finally in wide release, it's magically no longer offered. |

For people who signed up for annual, how do you know when your subscription ends?
When I look at my account/billing info, it says Next Billing Date 10/29/18, but it also lists me as on a Monthly $0.00, so I think that's just because my monthly 3-movie cycle ends on the 29th. I am pretty sure my annual didn't start until the end of November or December, but I can't remember. I am going to cancel before it starts billing me again,but I am definitely going to use all my movies while I still have it. I have A-List, which covers most of my moviegoing, but opening near me this week alone that I want to see are Halloween, Sisters Brothers, The Oath, and Old Man and the Gun; plus my kids want me to take them to Goosebumps 2. So I will need to dip into my MP allotment this week for sure. |
