Well ya, I know the conference is weak in recent years. But had Ohio St. not been on probation they'd likely be playing for the national title right now. I doubt a 1-loss Bama team would have finished ahead of an undefeated OSU team even with the vast difference in strength of schedule.

First off, UK football is in the SEC and I can only hope we could get close to the level Bama is at one year. Maybe with the right coaching decisions in the future we can.

Kentucky football really was great decades ago. My uncle actually played football for UK in the late 40's when Bear Bryant was the head coach.

I really don't think so. Notre Dame just making it to the national title game has done wonders for recruiting.

We had our moment around 05 when we got into the Top 10 in the BCS for a little bit. We've beat some really good teams, plenty of #1 ranked teams. Our program has it's ups and downs, more down years though lol.

Kentucky football was fun to watch in the late 90's when Tim Couch was QB there. That guy was incredible in college. Though he ended up being a huge bust in the NFL.

Being a pocket passer and having no O-Line on an expansion team, I guess that would be the right term, didn't help either. Ask David Carr about expansion teams lol. Tim is a really nice guy. My HS team played against his (Leslie Co. HS) back in the day. He put up 6 TD's on us I believe lol.

Up here we play hockey. We start skating at age 3 and most of us Red Leafers have had bare knuckle fights on skates by age 10. We know how to play sports, including football and baseball (both of which I lettered in in High School for 2 years). Have you ever participated in sports or are you one of those "Monday Morning Quarterbacks" in EVERY sport...essentially a cheerleader with an opinion?

Then when your hockey players get good enough they move to the U.S. and win Stanley Cups for our NHL teams.
