I think it looks amazing, very unique. I think the logos on the spine could use some resizing though, they look off

UPDATE: I added the THX in hopes that maybe. Im sure we will just get Dolby TrueHD though. Easy fix down the road.
these are amazing. Would love to have these when they are finished

I've decided to add a 5th disc to the set - Bonus Disc which most likely will come with the collection, and might add an anthology version with all 4 in one, if I have time to complete it.

Realized that if I am going to use the poster I want for "Temple of Doom" I would need to create a template with a frame. so here is an updated WIP:

With the world maps on the back of the Indy covers, why not put the red dots on the story locations, and the red lines connecting them.... like the location/transition shots in the films?

A couple of minor changes as I work on what will be a template for all my Indy covers.

Obviously the MGM material at the bottom of the back cover will be replaced with Paramount material.

Suggestions or comments welcome:

The grid is too Fox.

This is Paramount after all. I also wouldn't be surprised if they were Dolby TrueHD 5.1 EX or 6.1

Has anyone considered doing a Twilight Time numbered collection? I could totally see a Criterion-esque collection for all the limited edition releases from Twilight Time

I think it is good form to always credit the artist on the cover (A URL to their webiste on the cover goes a long way too), inform them and maybe even send them a copy just to show them what their art is being used for.

Most of the time I adhere to it being easier to ask forgiveness than permission, but that's just me. As long as money isn't changing hands I don't think we're breaking any "rules". If you were selling posters of their artwork, then you'd be crossing the line not only ethically, but legally.
For the cover, I have gone ahead and added the artist's name, and a link to his blogspot site, where I found the image. Though, I tweaked the image, from how it originally looked, just to allow it better use on the Blu-ray cover size.

I suppose that as an artist, I don't mind if people use my designs or gallery work, for other purposes than their actual creation intent. Unless of course they're making money off it, by some means. Other than that, I feel flattered, if it where to happen.

Having said that, here's the latest edit on the design. Hopefully, it looks better than previously. I'll give it a day, then look at it again, to see if I can change or add something to it. Thanks for any comments!

WBShop Can a designer do...

(Nissen PMed me and he will be doing this)

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Can a designer do a custom cover for me? If it costs, let me know how much.

I have a Blu-ray disc of a 45 minute video called Life Cycles. I do not have the cover and would like to get one.

Here's the film on Blu-ray.com
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Life-...Blu-ray/20558/

The front covers is...

To make it easy, the back cover possibly with a shot from the film

Is this do-able?

Anyone know where I can find a custom or a scan of the cover for Synecdoche, New York? I tried searching the usual sites but couldn't find anything. Picked up the disc only at a closing Blockbuster yesterday.

It's more do-able if the front cover you want is in a high resolution. Find the largest front you can and pm it to me.

It would be nice to see the title in red or something... just to give it punch since the whole cover is b&w.

Not sure if you've fixed this already, but on the spine of the anthology, the first date has too many 9s.

Went in to add the red, and after a few shades, I found this one that I liked. And the red really does give it a punch, that it really needed for the cover. Though not sure if I went too red crazy with the red else where, but hopefully it looks good enough. I think it might be ready, so the poster who requested it, if you haven't gotten a custom cover already, please let me know. This one seems to be ready.

I love the consistency he has given them, especially the top right of the reverse covers - using a "cut-out" image to over-see the rest of the design. They look awesome printed off - especially The Omen which stands out because of the drawing used rather than a photo cover.

Pure class in my opinion.
Nissen truely is a master!! these are amazing, the man never disappoints

I did cursory searches both of this thread and the Criterion Collection thread and didn't find anything.

I am looking for replacement cover art for Chungking Express and Bottle Rocket. I prefer to just print out the original cover art. The case+art is offered through Criterion but it is $5+shipping I just can't stomach paying that for a case and cover art. It looks like both of these are double sided and Chungking is all black on the backside of the cover. Not sure how I could replicate that I have printed custom covers before but not sure where to even start looking for printable scans for these two.

P.S. I will be looking for original art for a lot of other non Criterion titles as well if anyone can point me in the right direction on that also. Thanks in advance. This site rocks
