Next city over has probably around 10 or so but is probably a 30-50 minute drive one way depending on traffic to theaters that regularly get smaller movies.

Honestly, most smaller movies I am fine with seeing at home on streaming or redbox since they don't have the whole CGI/special effects that come off better the bigger the screen. But if those are my only options, then am perfectly fine going to the theater to use the pass on them. If the theater here had e-ticketing or current popular films with Moviepass such as The Front Runner, Can You Ever Forgive Me?, Boy Erased, or A Private War, I'd be all over them. But it doesn't/isn't, so hence the frustration. Weeks of that add up. For example this past cycle, I basically paid $10 for a single $5.65 ticket.
I wasn't talking about you. I've actually been to Pueblo and I remember there being only one theater. I'm talking about a few posters in here that seem to just bash MP on every page like we didn't see it the 1st 100 times.

NYC, aka birthplace of MP. Familiar with the service since when you were still in your diapers, back when they were only accessible on ios.

Pretty solid public transportation service. Gets me around everywhere much faster and cheaper than if I had to drive.

What time do you buy your tickets (at non e-ticketing theaters)? By the time I am off work around 4pm all of the theaters around me have no showtimes available. Do you go buy your tickets in the morning for evening showings?

Nope. Around 7pm or so. Usually just right before the movie starts.

EDIT: Just looking at the app now, and it looks like everything's been pulled. This is the first time I've experienced it.

Dunno why you guys can still put up with that at this rate. I thought that was only going on in July/August when it started (canceled in August) but to my surprise that is still going on till this date. Unacceptable.

I didnt bother cancelling. At this point I have 12 days left in my annual membership, then I am done.

I'm paid through the spring and have already surpassed the cost of the membership, so it's playing with house money now... from a very shady and corrupt house. At this point I'm just checking into the movies offered and going to see a different movie, but the pickings are (deliberately) thin. Just checked the app and no more showings allowed tonight for anything.

So it's now 9:45am in NYC, and every single showtime at every single theater (except for the one Landmark e-ticket) is unavailable. Including the IFC Center, which had recently been having all their titles available. You want proof? Here are all the supported films that are actually playing in NYC.

For people in large metropolitan areas that have no screenings available: Have you updated your app? Is MP intentionally blocking certain cities? I have a hard time believing that there are no screenings available at all in NYC.

Im in Houston and available to me are:

AMC, Regal, Cinemark:
Halloween
The Hate U Give
The Girl in the Spider’s Web
The Front Runner
A Private War

Landmark:
Wildlife
Can You Ever Forgive Me?

It's almost 2019. I think it's safe to say that we keep ourselves updated about updating our apps even though I'm pretty sure they are all supposed to update themselves.

You answered your own question.

Feel free to take a trip to our great city and check for yourself.

Yeah no. That’s total bs.

I’d be fuming if on my day off I decided to hit the theater and have that “There are no available screenings in your location today” for everything at 9:45 in the morning. It’s actually appalling they would even still do this.

I can use my MoviePass today for The Girl in the Spider's Web and A Private War, but my other half informed me out of the blue that we have to go spend time with his sister who just blew into town, so no theater time for me today. Grrrr

After 1pm EST here, and plenty of options still alive, even if you’re intending to watch something else. Mind you, these two theaters aren’t even in the downtown Miami area:

Cause that is Broward county which is not even remotely close to downtown Miami area.

They must've followed this thread, as they just eliminated screenings from all the theaters in the area now lol.

For the record though, when I checked, Aventura (Miami-Dade county) had the same amount of screenings PLUS every advertised screening of The Front Runner. That theater seemed to have more options than the two I listed closer to me.

30-45 minute drive. It's doable for any moviegoer wanting to use the service.

Just about all of my screenings have disappeared as well. Even at the only e-ticketing theater which is odd. The only thing I have now is In Search of Greatness, which is a bonus movie and I’ve already “seen” that movie.

I guess they decided they spent enough money for the day.
