Not really, all you need to do it heat up the glue so you can get the spine off without it bending, then use leftover glue to stick the artwork on and everything back together.

I'm looking at swapping the spines on x-men first class, fr and uk versions.

Is it just a case of removing the front and backs of the two and swapping them around, or is it more complicated? The french is debossed I think.

^ Remember that the UK release doesn't have any inside artwork. If you change the spines you will have a gap in the artwork, and a little artwork in the middle of the other one

The Incredible Hulk steelbook is on it's way to my place, but I already decided to change to artwork. I'm just not a fan of the Abomination...

1st attempt... I think it looks great.
[Show spoiler]

2nd attempt... I wanted to portray the difference better and connect Bruce Banner and the Hulk in some way, so I resized the Hulk to the upper body just like Banner and knowing the spine is black I faded the edges into it.
[Show spoiler]

Any thought? Should I change something?

Sorry if been asked but whats the best tool to get the plastic tray to separate from the tin?

No way am I using a metal knife like I have done in the past, the inside paint seems even easier to scratch than the outside

Hi,

I have uploaded Hi-Res (300 pixels per inch) versions of my artwork formatted to print on A4 paper UK size here:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/myendea...7631224230738/

Below is an example of each:

300:
(You have to flip the plastic case upside down so the disc is on the other side for this to work).

Minority Report:

X-Men First Class:

Rise of the Planet of the Apes:

Batman Begins:

The Dark Knight:

I have a few variations for each film and I have tried where possible to keep the theme of the cover art and not duplicate any images which already appear on the Steelbooks.

All images were sourced at Hi-Res so they print with a lot of detail.

I hope these help someone.

Why not just flip the image?

Or why not just switch the insides to the opposite sides?

I was taking it apart anyway to do the artwork. Does it matter that the disc is on the right then?
