Thinking about how I got up before my alarm but I went to bed about 30 minutes earlier than usual so I'm calling it a win.

One of our freeways has two tunnels that both go the same direction. Doesn't matter which one you take since there are no exits or anything like that -- it's freeway, tunnels, freeway. I suppose there's a convenience for whichever way you're coming from so you don't have to cut over a bunch of lanes.

So as traffic is starting to build up and slow down getting close to the tunnels, some guy in a luxury car is speeding up instead. He moves over into the right lane that merges into the right tunnel, then switches back into the left lane to pass a truck -- this lane has already started merging, mind you -- and then hops back into the right lane, all while speeding and never once slowing down. And it's not like the truck in front of him was going slow either. Basically this guy left a merging lane to pass the truck in front of him and then squeak back into the merging lane at the last possible moment, all so that he could continue to drive recklessly.

A few minutes later, I see this guy parked on the side of the freeway with his emergency lights blinking and a flat front tire.

i found out a couple days ago about a really cool collector's edition of the last of us that was only sold at gamestop. so while i hardly every go into gamestop, i never knew about it until very recently.

when i found about it, i did some searching and found out it comes with a pretty cool statue. and i'm all about the statues that come in collector's editions of games/movies. so i did some more searching and found out it was a VERY limited run and that, obviously, they were all sold and very quickly. so off to amazon/ebay i go.

what i saw next caused me to damn near spit my drink all over my keyboard.

$1000?!!! REALLY?!!!

and that's the cheapest i could find (amazon). the other one i found (ebay) is more than that by about half.

then i looked for just the statue. i thought, "well, i've already got the game (twice actually; ps3 and ps4), so maybe i can just get the statue to add to my collection.

$700 is the cheapest i've found so far. that ain't happening, either.

the original price was about $160. i can deal with that. i paid $150 for my collectors edition of swtor, a little over $100 for my collector's edition of uc3, and almost $70 for my collector's edition of uc4 (got a great deal on it at bby as it was well after the game came out and they were trying desperately to get rid of it). so i wouldn't have had any issue with paying that much for it.....if i'd only known about it at launch.

but DAMN!!! A GRAND?!!! no thanks.....

I don't know how my mother found me, perhaps because she knows my Internet pseudonyms, at least I think she does. I don't think she gets the point of Twitter but I guess she'll give it a go. Following me won't do much for her, I follow celebrity, sports and news accounts, none of which she's probably interested in.

I don't talk about anyone I know on Twitter, there's no point. I may not like my parents(they can be quite rude and condescending) but I don't really talk about them on the Internet. Thinking about the dinner I'm about to ingest during the OKC-Minnesota half-time.
