The enter laserdisc/vhs/dvd upc code for $10 upgrade coupon is live but a standalone $10 coupon has not been mentioned yet. If such a coupon exists, look for it to go live in the week leading up to the release of fantasia.

I actually laughed at this:

Right of the bat we get an important viewing option. 'DisneyView'
That aside..... the screen shots look GORGEOUS.

Separate Blu-ray cases inside cardboard box!
That may not seem like a big deal but if that's also true for the north american release it means all my blu-rays can still look the same on the shelf and I'll add the box to my small pile of slipcovers.

Just the fact that he/she refers to it as an "Important" viewing option..... it's important to cover up the black bars??? Really???

I noticed that too...... but that wasn't it

I couldn't stand it any longer I ordered the UK import, Fantasia has always been in my top 10 and I've owned two laserdisc versions VHS, and DVD and I can't wait till the 30th haha.

It isn't cheap by US standards but I don't care at this point.

Well, it's better than cropping the top & bottom of an Academy-ratio film to make it "widescreen". And the best part? It can be switched on or off, so if you want your black bars you got 'em.

We know it was originally planed as one, but I wonder what Disney enthusiasts will consider it.
I think this way of censoring is perfect, minus one step. For collector's, they should have left the original left in fully remastered too, and give a choice. Then parents can use discretion, and hardcore fans have what they want too.

I mean, it doesn't remove the problem that due to the internet, some kid who grows up loving the version released "today" is going to get a rude awakening some years in the future catching the uncut clip on youtube, or wherever.

It's like Star Wars Christmas . Hide it all you want, it's never going completely away.

$28.99 on Amazon now.
Plus the $10 off if you preorder Sorcerer's Apprentice too.

Hey guys. Printed off my $10 coupon (). Also just printed off my $10 reward zone dollars from Best Buy. Only thing is Best Buy is selling it for $42.99 and FuturShop is selling it for $34.99. Either Best Buy will lower it down to match Future Shop, or I can get Best Buy to price match it AND beat it by $10 %! (They advertised this for the month of November only). You fellow Canadians should note that. But they will probably lower it to $34.99 come its release on Nov. 30.

Those listings can't be correct. Not only would it be weird to list pre-orders for re-releases when the first editions have hardly even been released, but the Platinum line has also ended.

The thing is though, they've been mentioning Platinum since the product that has just been released was first announced.

if you mean the $10.00 off coupon as far as I know Amazon.com never accepts those. That is why I am always shocked a title like Bambi it a huge seller right now. I know before it gets released Disney will issue prob a $10.00 off coupon of the purchase for those who bought previous editions... and store prices will more than likely be about 24.99 for it and with a coupon... no contest at all.

I'm not sure I understand your post.. but Bambi is a huge seller right now because Amazon IS offering $10 off.

But yes, Amazon doesn't accept those coupons you print off from DMR. Sometimes they have their own $10 off codes, but it's fairly rare.
