I know it's been said a few times but 50 pages is a lot.. but what are you using to print it in? I have photoshop but I can't get the sizes unlinked from one another, so that means if I change one size it changes the width.


Ok I found one of the pages has a PNG template but I'm not sure how to get the custom artwork on the template

Hey dude, there's a template on page 26 in png format. I've been using that for all of my inner artwork. It has the left side, right side, and spine on one template. I increased the resolution to 150 for better detail in my prints. I print the right and left sides on separate pieces of glossy paper because the whole template doesn't print correctly on a sheet of 8.5x11 paper.

I'm stuck here.. I got that template as well but how do you overlay a single picture so the covers and the spine each have a image on it? When I do it the picture just covers up the whole template.

If I've read that correctly I believe you need to create a seperate layer for the artwork and then make sure that the artwork layer is underneath the template layer.

I will give it a go, trying to get resident evil degeneration done.

Ok I got it done.. I must of did something wrong because the lines to cut for the spine were black instead of white so the RE:degeneration was harder to cut because of all the dark areas.

I might change out the sucker punch one for something else since it's a kinda low res file and you can see it in the artwork.

Thanks! it really does make a huge difference! the cases are pretty easy to open all but one took me no more then 30 seconds to open.

heh, for the spine I used rubber cement for it pretty easy to get on and get off it a mistake happens or whatever.

Now I just need some more steel books

Very nice work, makes me want to go back and do the spines on my Resident Evil steels. And I just recieved 6 Best buy steels that need inside art now too..

Yeah doing the spine really makes it look good, I used a hair dryer (not mine!) lol and a utility knife and after about 30 seconds or so just lightly slide it under the spine and go slow and it comes right up.

It's an Arnold Schwarzenegger steelbook and the 3 movies it has are Total Recall (which is why I got it) Raw Deal and Red Heat. I'm thinking either more faces like the front cover or maybe a collage of pictures from each of the movies. So if anyone has any ideas please post :P I'm really stumped on this one.

Try to avoid faces where there's a disc holder or you'll end up with i got for my frighteners steelbook.
