I actually just remembered, Leo and Crowe were both pretty interesting. So much drama!

One of these days, I'll be resuming my horror movie gorging with both "[REC]" films. But I got rentals first (they didn't send any of the ones you reccomended unfortunately, but "The Thin Red Line." "Delecatessen," and "From Beyond" all look really cool ). Got a library movie for tonight that I'm trying to whiz through (darn thing's almost three hours though ). Will be reviewing that one soon...

We'll be looking forward to your great horror reccomendations!

i'm pretty sure i finally was able to make a list of every movie i've seen and assign a proper score to it
and after much work, i've come to the conclusion that out of (at least) 293 movies, only 10 deserve a 5/5 rating. there are a lot of 4.5/5's, and while i have listed on this very site a lot of 5/5's, after thinking about it, many of those films went down in score after sitting back and thinking about it for awhile.

edit: i've already added about 20 movies to my overall list. ugh. soooo hard to remember everything i've seen. and while i left off about 50 because i'd have to see them again to feel the rating matches properly, i hate how this is going to be a never ending list...

Borrowed from the library: “The Last Emperor.”

Expected something very long, slow, boring, you know like every other Criterion movie. But this one is truly one of the ones I like better; it is well-paced and has its fair share of interesting scenes. Some parts were rather amusing, but for the most part it’s an interesting and invoking drama. Characters are quite strong; the story’s a little weak with the conflict (externally anyway), but as a biopic-style drama with some interesting history. It’s about as effective as “Gandhi.”

The film is quite well-made, featuring splendid photography, and a high production value with very intricate sets and locations, and some interesting period reproductions. Acting is very good (even if they are all speaking English). It’s a quality film all around.

It was cool seeing Egg Shen in there too.

4/5 (entertainment: 3.5/5, story: 3.5/5, film: 4.5/5)

Great scott, I must have seen over 3,000 movies in my lifetime, and I don't think I can ever post 3,000 reviews for them all!

It's true though, out of those 3,000, there must be 30 or so I'd give a perfect 5/5 for. Maybe 50.

We got high standards.

This was definitely not the first viewing, probably like the 20th. Smith was in his element, the action is incredible and the special effects are almost as good as it gets.

Prince Of Persia Sands of Time

Well I give it a 4 out of 5 ... had seen the movie in theaters but still was a pleasurable thing to view, although could've been improved.

I know. It's all good. I know Green Zone isn't a movie for everyone, especially given the subject matter and the pacing at times. Can't agree on them all,
[Show spoiler]like Lost.

Actually, I am not a fan of Lost at all.

Also, add Doomsday to the list along with Green Zone of films we don't agree on at all.
