Also, specifically what films do you addore, that you know will probably never make it to Blu-ray.

I figured this might help us all vent a little of our frustration and maybe throw up some interesting titles as I know a lot of you guys are serious film buffs and many of you are a little disappointed with the current releases.

Can I also ask, please Blu-ray.com, can we have embede youtube video's enabled on these forums, Pleeeease! I guess for now we'll just have to post links, can you also post links of your chosen titles if poss?
How about the Apu trilogy, though I though a subsidairy of Criterion or something issued them several years ago.

A Clockwork Orange looks fine. No it isn't reference material, but still much better then the DVD releases.

Just because you think it's a stupid title doesn't mean everyone does. I'm not interested in all those nature Blu-ray's that are coming out but apparently there is a market for it or they wouldn't continue to make them. Studios have to release a wide variety of titles that appeal to everyone's taste in order to help the format grow.

I still can't believe Catwoman is coming to Blu-ray. I was hoping Showgirls won't make it though.

Don't worry. I'm sure Pink Floyds: The Wall will come out eventually. It has to strong of a cult following not to.

I'll say that I doubt we ever see "The Whole Bloody Affair" and the Grindhouse pictures together. At least not here in the US.

I've waited and waited for Almost Angels on DVD and until today it's still not released so I highly doubt I'll ever see it on BD. I'd also like Moonlighting to be cleaned up as much as possible and then be released in one BD set.

Seems to me like Scarface will never be released...

Also Great astles of Europe, the TLC show from the late 90's is my all time dream BD. Chances? Slim to none IMO, but a man can dream.

I think most old movies from the "poverty row" studios will have trouble coming to Blu-Ray. The copyrights for most of those B pictures have traded hands for decades. Films like Detour (1945), which was a release from PRC Pictures, or The Big Combo (1955) by Allied Artists, for instance. Who owns the rights now? These films mostly show up in poorly produced public domain videos, or if the company does a good job, like Image Entertainment, the film print still shows signs of damage. I doubt we'll ever see a restored HD presentation of these minor classics.
