Well lets just hope the Jazz put a good season this year, even though Boozer is acting like a baby.

Shaq won't even play enough games to do that. I've got a wager going with a friend of mine at work who is a bandwagon Cavs fan (Im positive he'll magically become a lifelong Knicks fan is James jumps ship to NY), anyways, I asked him when was the last time a 37/38 year old Center played a full season, or hell, even half a season, and still managed to be a threat at that point in his career? He responded that Shaq is a different specimen, even though he's already played over 1000 games he can play 1000 more So we made a friendly bet of $250. I bet him that Shaq would play half a season or less, he said Shaq will play 70 games or more. I can't wait to collect my earnings in April.

What if it's in the gap between half a season (41 games) and 70 games? Who wins then?

Err... ever heard of a guy named Kareem Abdul-Jabbar? At age 37 (1984 - 85 season) he played in 79 games and averaged 22ppg and 7.9rpg. The next year (1985 - 86), at age 38, he also played in 79 games and averaged 23ppg and 6.1 rpg.

Exactly what I was going to ask. I bet Shaq will play in somewhere between 50 and 60 games, that's more realistic.

Because it accentuates the dramatic. MCT's point is that he'll only play half of the season. He might as well have bet on the number 41 but this way, it's more likely that what they bet on will happen and there wont be any, "Oh, well, 50 games might as well be half of the season." I didn't quite explain it well, but I understand why he chose the numbers. Go MCT, I know Celtics, Magic, and Lakers fans are on your side.

will be very interesting to see if he gets injured...he has stayed away from that for most of his career.

haha....exactly my point! It's been 23 years, and I'm sorry but Kareem was a much more offensively skilled player than Shaq ever was. That sky-hook was so unguardable it allowed him to play a few extra seasons at a high level, along with his excellent offseason conditioning habits.

well he said 70 or more, so if it's 69 , I still win. But I honestly feel he will play less than 50 games. Phoenix's medical staff is the best in the entire league. Those guys are witchdoctors. They saved Grant Hill's career for Christ sakes. Without their expertise, you have to wonder if Shaq can still maintain his level of production from last year.

I'm not even a baseball fan, but I'm almost always bored with preseason basketball, so I'd say watch the Dodger game priority and switch in commercials and in between innings

Yeah I actually agree. Playoffs>Preseason.

Not quite, we fixed him right before we said goodbye to him. His ankle were actually the root cause of all of his back injuries. he only had like 20% movement in one ankle and we got him up to like 75% and then all better. then we said goodbye. It was a waste though to have had him for so long and to finally diagnose his injury in his last season.

KG seemed to be moving around quite well in last night's preseason game with the Rockets. It was good to see....

That dunk by Brown last night was AMAZING. Too bad he missed the free throw.
