So squid...
Did you see it again?

I like both films a lot, but in my mind The Illusionist wins by a hair. I thought the implausibility of The Prestige knocked it just slightly below The Illusionist (although The Illusionist isn't that realistic either). I'm surprised at the size of the split in the poll.

I own The Prestige, and am anxiously awaiting the release of The Illusionist.

the prestige is in my top 5 of all time and just may well be #1. the film is a masterpiec on all counts, with a story full of suspenseful twists and turns with excellent performances to carry them out, and it has arguably the greatest ending in film history.

I'm not. On the whole the Prestige was not only made better, it had a better cast and was headlined by better performances. Prestige is a movie I traded for but Illusionist is not a movie I'd pay more than $15 for.

Both were good but the Illusionist wins out for me. The Phillip glass score is amazing and adds alot to the film for me. For me the Prestige only had impact on the first viewing.

The Prestige is in my top 10 films of the past decade. I loved how the opening and closing narration by Michael Caine came right out and told the audience they would believe the illusion and refuse to work it out, even though all the clues are there. The entire movie showed there is no such thing as magic, but almost everyone I've watched the movie with, including some bright people like my oncologist and optometrist buddies, ended up misinterpreting the transported man trick. I enjoyed how it used the mistique about Tesla to dress up the trick. But most of all, the story, acting and directing was top notch. Didn't hurt that the Blu-ray delivers killer picture and sound quality.

The Illusionist wins for me. Norton shows again why he is a top notch actor. I never understood why it didn't get more attention and praise. You can still like The Prestige, along with also seeing The Illusionist.

$12.99 is a great deal at Best Buy for it too!

Thanks
