This is my concern also. I loved the movie and will definitely get it, but I use a PS3 to play my blus. Would it not play just because it was a screener disk?

But as for the features. You would think they would work hard on the disc after that ****y coverart they gave us. Are they saving the good coverart for a double dip? I think after No Country For Old Men's double dip I got paranoid that any best picture movie nominee or winner gets double dipped. |

I'm sure in the long run it will work out, either way. An incompatibility between arguably the most popular Blu-ray player and a Best Picture nominee will surely be ironed out somehow. |

I get where you are coming from unclejay. I hate when movies are over-hype as being great. I thought Anna Kendrick did a good job but I wouldn't necessarily say great, certainly very good. One thing, I think I mentioned somewhere before, I was expecting
[Show spoiler] . Not really a spoiler but w/e.Idioteque, I understand your fear regarding the happening with No Country for Old Men. Very troublesome indeed. |

I bought Up in the Air early this morning when I got Final Fantasy XIII. I put it in when I got it and it played fine, but I fell asleep while watching it so I started up my PS3 again to finish watching it just a bit ago, and it locked up. I saw the Paramount sequence, but then it goes blank and I get a "no signal" text on my TV. I put in both Final Fantasy XIII and The Hurt Locker, and they both played fine, so I returned Up in the Air to get a different one, thinking it was just the disc, but the same exact thing is happening with the replacement.
I realize it is early for a lot of people to have the movie, but if anyone else has the same problems can they say so? And does anyone have an idea if it isn't just the movie and is in fact my PS3? I've tried going to system update, but it says it is already on the latest firmware. |
