I saw Gerry Dee live at his first ever taping. Got in for free because it was being filmed in Toronto. Had never seen him before then. He was great! If you own the DVD "No Reading Ahead" you can see me in the audience footage quite a bit, laughing my ass off lol
![]() One of my ultimate faves is John Pinette. Guy could make me laugh any time. Seen him live twice thankfully before he sadly passed away last year. ![]() |

1. George Carlin - not only is he extremely funny, some of his routines are simply genius. So well constructed and philosophical, I can listen to them simply for the insights.
2. Mitch Hedberg - I used to see him twice everytime he came into town. About 4x per year. He he had stayed alive and maintained his awesomeness, he might have unseated George ( but probably not) Others in no particular order Rodney Dangerfield Demetri Martin Steve Martin Steven Wright |

Billy Connolly is still the man for me. I've seen him many times over the years all over Britain and I love him.
Other than him, I don't think you can go wrong with the following: Ken Dodd Bill Hicks Bill Bailey Bob Newhart Robin Williams Don Rickles Bernard Manning Reginald D Hunter Steve Martin (circa the late seventies) Bill Cosby Rodney Dangerfield Tommy Cooper Dave Allen Redd Foxx |
