Couldn't find an actual thread but this one seems obvious and clear.

Favourite comedians or comedic personalities?

George Carlin for the win.

Mitch Hedberg, Larry David, and others have sure gone to work on my funny bone though. Louis CK as well, I shoulda went to his show in Toronto.

Carlin was brilliant. His more serious stuff, social commentary, was the highlight. However, he also did some really awful stuff, like all of the words we have for snot. He also had that annoying habit of mugging right after his punchlines.

Some of my favorite standup comedians:

Dead: Bill Hicks, Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor, Rodney Dangerfield

Alive: Doug Stanhope, Louis C.K...I just realized I don't watch much standup anymore.

Dave Chappelle too, can't believe I forgot to include him, prefer him to Chris Rock. However, used to like Chris Rock more growing up.
