Well MF, they have brought a different sound quality and level to my listening experience. as far as music goes, i hear more pronunciation in musical instruments than i did with the polks. i think i also have more clarity in the low end of sound than i did with the polks and cymbals, violins and other string and woodwinds sound "right in my face" as it were! I want to make it clear that i'm not taking swipes at polk either. those speakers have served me well for lots of years but the axioms have allowed me to graduate my listening experiences to a level more fitting my years of listening! sounds crazy but to this point in my audio years, i've never been so happy with anything like i am with these axioms! it is also a good feeling to say that i could afford to get in at the flagship level of a speaker and they sound amazing and i can still afford to keep my kid in college! i couldn't say that with many speakers! these are a different experience for me all together and i'm enjoying them. they will usher me into yet another state of audio awareness!

thank you rich, for me, in my small livingroom, these are without a doubt the best speakers i have ever had or heard thus far in my life. mind you this is in a non treated crazy layed-out room too in a 55 year old duplex!

Glad the Axioms are treating you well. Congrats on the purchase. They sure look purty with the white woofers and the vast size of the center.

However, I think I have you beat with center channel girth. I believe mine is 68 pounds.

I agree that Polks are great speakers in their own right. However, once you get a higher calibre speaker, you see the limitations. However, not everyone can afford speakers other than Polks, especially as an entry level system.

I really enjoyed my Polks while I had them. It was a tough decision as to move to the B&W's or just upgrade the bookshelves to towers.

Granted, I'm glad I went with the B&W's, but those Polks still were a great speaker.

The new speakers are fantastic! Nice choice SD. I am working on a few things right now. I will inform you as things unfold.

Thinking about getting the Calabrine cables for my front stage to start off. Have a good one my friend, and enjoy tour new set-up.

It's obvious you are a Thor fan from way back! Ok, I don't get it. Thor is the God of Thunder, right?! So with the "GOD" moniker, it's safe to assume that he's a GOD! Right?

Well why is it that when the Marvel Comic writers write or brings Thor into this dimension (modern day), he gets his a$$ kicked!?!

Or at the minimum, if he wins the struggle, it's not a picnic! I mean, he's suppose to be a GOD right? And GOD's are supposed to be invincible to mortals for the most part, right? This should be cut and dry! Thor shows up on the scene, he doesn't like what's going down, wipes out everything! Thor goes back to his dimension, End of story! That's what God's do, isn't it?!

Please enlighten me with your Wisdom of all things Asgard!
