Right... you have to know that in order to find it. So I still want Buena Vista seperately if that's possible. Can one of the developers comment on this 'issue'?
Other requests: Can you add the following audio track: Spanish: PCM 5.1 And I've asked this before, but cannot find my post: Now there's only "Portuguese" as subtitles, but there's a differntiation between Brazilian Portuguese and Portugal Portuguese. "Portuguese" merely means the Portugal version, so can you please add "Portuguese (Brazilian)" to the list of subtitles? Thanks again guys! Edit: I've come across an error. Under subtitles you can choose for "Slovenian", but this must be "Slovene". Slovenian just doesn't exist. Remove the n and you've got the country, but the language is Slovene. ![]() |

Time for some covers again:
Earth (Holland) https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Earth-Blu-ray/12324/ http://static.bol.com/imgbase0/image...4005916146.jpg The Pursuit of Happyness (Holland) https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-P...Blu-ray/12409/ http://images2.frs.nl/f/bb/8e4/8712609681130.jpg And I've noticed a duplicate entry from May 27, 2010: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Unfor...Blu-ray/12110/ and https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Unfor...Blu-ray/12109/ Seems like their identical, apart from the fact that 12110 doesn't list subtitles. So I think it's best to remove 12110 and keep 12109. |

That's a huge task ![]() Another example. English ... how many variations of contemporary english spoken people are around ? Let me get to the main point. Some Blu-ray editions (only European, btw) got bot Portuguese variations... a few. I don't know how accurate the main database wants to be ![]() But not only about portuguese, also for spanish, french, chinese ![]() ![]() Just my 2 cents |

I understand your point Jarfa and I also have to agree with you partly. However, concerning the other languages: Spanish only has Catalan as a dialect, French is the same around the globe as far as I know, Chinese differs only in traditional and simplified for text. I don't know about Indian, but apart from that I don't think this is too much.
Of course, you only need to have the languages that are very common, but I've noticed quite a lot that both Portuguese Brazilian and the normal Portuguese are present on a disc. That's the reason I opted for adding Portuguese Brazilian. I agree with you that the Blu-ray.com owners/developers must choose for themselves which sub-languages they'll accept as a subtitle. On a more personal sidenote: Afrikaans derives from Dutch, but where Dutch has evolved over the years, spelling became more modern and took over lots of words from both English and French. Afrikaans on the other hand has also evolved, but more like blending in with the surrounding languages in Zuid-Afrika. As a Dutchman, I can read Afrikaans for about 90% easily, even though their grammar is completely different, and I can understand someone reasonably when they speak slowly. But talk Dutch to an Afrikaan and they won't understand you as good as you understand them. This is caused by the encridibly complex Dutch language grammar. Afrikaans is much more basic, so it is harder for an Afrikaan to understand a Dutchman than vice versa. |

![]() Btw, Catalan is a language not a dialect of Spanish, like it is Basque and Galician. In Spain nobody says that they speak spanish, they speak castilian (castellano). Only in the rest of the world Spanish is spoken ![]() But in the end all spanish speakers can understand spanish subtitles, if they can read of course ![]() French is different in Quebéc for example.... but in subtitles it's not a big difference i guess. Chinese is a different world when we talk about subtitles... simplified, complex, cantonese, shanghainese, etc. Guess not all chinese languages will understand written Complex Mandarin. Quote:

Noticed a broken Best Buy "Buy Now" link
https://www.blu-ray.com/Star-Wars-Th...-II-PS3/12340/ I looked through a few of the other games in the database, but that is the only one I noticed with a Best Buy price tracker as of now. I mentioned it last night in the New Features/Site Improvements thread, but deleted my post and thought maybe it should be in here instead. Last edited by Diesel; 06-10-2010 at 06:08 PM.
