United Kingdom LOST Complete Boxset September 13

The final season of Lost will be released on Blu-ray on September 13, alongside a complete series boxset containing all six seasons.

In addition to deleted scenes and outtakes, both releases will reportedly include the previously teased bonus scene featuring characters Hurley (Jorge Garcia) and Ben (Michael Emerson), as well as a new featurette titled 'The End: Crafting A Final Season' which will examine the show's final days.

Other special content will include audio commentaries and further featurettes exploring the show's characters and the 'flash sideways' universe.

The complete series boxset will contain over 30 hours of bonus material in total.

I have the first four seasons but I only paid for one of them so I think I'm going to pick this up.

And the release date is Aug 24 now.

Is that the US release date, because Amazon UK hasn't got it listed. The September release is for the UK i'm guessing.

That's the US date. The UK date for the season 6 box set, and complete collection on DVD is 20th September. I'm holding on for the BD Complete Collection. Hopefully, it'll be announced soon....

I got the above info from Digital Spy which was published today, the Sept 13th release not the 20th?

yes like I said above no UK has the the price listed or date.
Only amazon has a let me know page. Find this suprising that the DVD set has been listed for ages now and not the BD set.

Was that set not ultimate enough? What's missing?

We had a discussion about this last year on Lostpedia. There is quite a lot missing including deleted scenes never released, some deleted scenes that were only released on DVD's given away from exclusive stores like Best Buy and in TV Guide, lots of promo material, the official Lost audia and video podcasts done weekly by Lindelof and Cuse and some other stuff i can't remember right now and best of all an ENTIRE UNRELEASED EPISODE that was filmed and then junked

There were also 15 hour long "clip shows" shown on TV in the US whenever the show returned from a hiatus. Some have exclusive interviews or narration from the actors. They won't appeal to everyone but the hardcore fans like myself. I have them as TV rips but would love them on BD.

http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Recap

Throw in more commentaries for episodes, documentaries, interviews and hopefully (if it happens) they release the UK set uncut (there were lots of cuts in our one). Maybe 10 year anniversary in 2014?

have you got any source for what was cut?
as far as im aware the UK set is identical apart from packaging. so that means the US set must be cut too.

Why would Disney decide to include the edited for Sky versions on the Bluray makes no sense to me at all when they already had the US versions they could have used.

Most of the extra deleted scenes are on the "extra disc" included with the full set (not sure which versions of the full set) Full details of that disc here:

http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Lost...ollection_(DVD)

Through some clever purchasing at the time I have a Region 1 DVD of this disc, that'll do for me.

As for the cuts and stuff, that is disappointing. I have Region A blus of 1, 2 and 5, so most of them don't affect me, and the other little things aren't enough for me to really care, but still, I can see why people might be annoyed.

Apart from the podcasts, I can't see a "complete" set being much more complete, unless they record new material.

I would like to hear more about this:

I have that disc, it's in the UK premium collection. What i was refering too was scenes that were never released on Blu-Ray. Only ever released on DVD as promotions such as in a book, magazine or as a store exclusive. Here are a few in season 1 that were never released on Blu (or the DVD sets). There are more if you look through all the seasons.

http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Seas...ended_Scene.29
http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Seas...enes#Sun_Cries
http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Seas..._I_Know_You.3F

Then there are deleted scenes that were shot and never released. Some were seen in trailers, mentioned by the cast or producers or seen in promotional pictures such as these from Homecoming featuring a fight between Locke and Ethan that was never shown in the episode.

http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5519

As for the unreleased episode, it was the second episode of season 2 "Adrift". Originally it was a Sawyer flashback/centric but for reasons unknown they didn't like it so scrapped the whole thing and became the Michael episode we all saw. Here are some pictures from the set

http://lylyford.blogspot.com/2008/07...never-see.html

and you can find more info here on the wiki (added by me many years ago i might add)
