I just ordered it from DeepDiscount and I can't wait for it to get here! It's one of my all time favorite horror flicks!

I'll probably pick it up, but the main argument I hear in defense of keeping the original blue hue has to do with it creating a spookier atmosphere and it's lost a lot of that now.

Yeah but was the blue hue there in the theatrical release? No! Did that keep the movie from scaring the bejeezus out of millions of movie goers? Hell no!

HALLOWEEN is my favorite movie and I've seen it dozens of times. However, the transfer on the Blu-ray showed me things that I've never seen before. The picture is incredibly clear and detailed. But, I haven't seen much discussion about how the image gets very grainy in the finale. Whatever the case, the Blu-ray transfer is awesome.

It's one of my favorites also so I'm pretty excited about getting it next week (along with several other horror movies that should be available on blu-ray next week).

I watched Halloween last night, and all I can say is I'm glad I didn't pay any attention to Peter Bracke's review. Then again, I've pretty much learned never to pay any attention to his reviews. I thought that the picture looked great. The sound quality could have been better, but it still wasn't bad.

Only 2 and 1/2 stars because they left some stupid blue tint out that wasn't even present in the theatrical release? Personally, I think they should restrict HD DVD fanboys to reviewing titles that are actually available on HD DVD. We wouldn't hear nearly as much from them. As soon as I can come up with an address for Starz/Anchor Bay, I'll be writing them a letter thanking them for their support

Unless anyone's heard Dean Cundy or John Carpenter badmouth the transfer then I think it's best to proceed under the assumption there's no problem.

Did either of them object to the Divimax version or was it just the fans of the movie?
