Blu-rays you bought from Amazon that did NOT include slipcover

I remember reading that someone on here would e-mail Amazon prior to ordering to make sure that the movies would come with a slipcover.

I recently tried it with Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk and got a confirmation from two amazon reps that they would come with slipcovers so I ordered. The plan for me was to have all of the Marvel movies leading up to The Avengers with their slipcovers.

Order arrived and they did not come with slipcovers so I just sent them back, still looking for Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk with their slipcovers but, I'm not liking my chances.

Amazon customer service reps are totally disconnected from the fulfillment operations and would have no idea if a specific item came with a slipcover. They are told to fill a script and tell the customer the item will be exactly as shown on the website. The only reliable method are individual reports by customers from specific distribution centers.

The reps said they checked with the inventory team and passed my order to the fulfillment operations to make sure I would get the movies with the slipcovers.

Even when I did see that my order didn't include the slipcovers, I wasn't mad as I felt it was too good to be true. Just disappointed that they ensured it would include the slipcovers but didn't.

well of course I knew that...I think the whole purpose of this thread is to see if anyone who has recently bought those films from amazon by the off-chance received a slipcover with it. it is assumed that recently released titles will come with slipcovers and older titles will not. but this thread is to find those exceptions.

I ordered the (almost 2-year-old) Grindhouse blu-ray from Amazon, which should include slipcover but the one I received did not have one. I let Amazon know, and they sent me a new one (with slipcover) in exchange for my old one (without) for free.

So if you get something without slipcover that you know should have one, it's worth asking - you never know!

anyone order Yes Man recently and receive a slip? I know it's a long shot, but I ordered the South Park movie a few days ago and it surprisingly had one on it and I think that movie is a coule years old.

I ordered King Kong Universal 100th Anniversary from Amazon and it had no slip!

I see Coraline is only $9.99 right now but I am quite sure it won't have a slip. I usually try and order older movies I didn't buy on release day used based on seller's descriptions of them having a slipcover. I just got Date Night for $7 and it came with the lenticular slip!!! But then again,I ordered Tropic Thunder from another seller who listed it with a slip and it came sans slip.

Edit: It has come to my attention the BD of Tropic Thunder has no slip. Which is strange,considering the dvd did have one!

Just bought Transformers 2-Disc Special Edition. Didn't have the slip. Was beyond upset because it has a really nice slipcover.

Usually, AZ.fr BDs have their slipcovers shrink wrapped.

Almost anything I buy from Amazon, unless it is a pre-order or within the first 2 weeks, comes without a slip cover. Men In Black is a recent one which came without a slip cover, but was surprised to get A.I. with slip cover.

I now depend on Best Buy if I definitely want the slip cover.
