I think WB problem is that the scripts they do accept for female roles are total crap.

Aliens, Resident evil, Species, and many other movies were great series. Its just the new style of female lead scripts that totally blow.

Totally agree Luis!

My wife and I were talking about this just last night while watching "Bionic Woman". We want to like the show - but what happens all too often in action movies and shows where a woman is the lead is that they spend too much time convincing us that she's cool, hip, fun to be around and can do anything that a man can do (like they want to be a positive role model for young girls which makes me embarrassed to be watching).

The Simpson's episode with "Poochie" portrayed what I trying to say here perfectly.

I really don't think having a woman as a lead is a problem at all (many people would have said the same about video games until Tomb Raider came along) - it's just how most of those films have been handled so far.
