Default Time Warner In Lead For MGM

I just read that Time-Warner is in the lead for bidding on MGM's film catalogue. Good gracious! Warner, in my opinion, puts out some of the worst discs around(poor PQ , AQ and many without extras).
There are many MGM titles I am awaiting on blu like Midhight Cowboy for instance, are they gonna fudge that one and other titles up or what? The title of the song in The Twelve Chairs , sums it up best, "Hope for the best, expect the worst."

Hopefully some other studio like Disney or Sony outbids them.

Last I read neither Disney or Sony made any bid offers, which is sad as MGM has a lot of great titles.
I have been waiting so long for Singin' In The Rain, as l love classic films, and hope they don't screrw it up. The reviews for Singin' on both laserdisc and dvd were stellar, one of the best reviewed I have ever read.

It'd be great if WB got their film library. They are very good about preserving history. They also put out the best movies IMO. They'd be in charge of the Bond franchise. I like it.

I agree with GreenScar, they are one of the best when it comes to preserving the classics.

It might mean we get the rest of the Bonds 2 to a disc, I think I would like that a lot.

Agreed. I think it would be bad for everyone if Time Warner does aquite MGM.
