She was probably the first girl back then, who actually made an impression on me, and I've enjoyed some of her work over the years. I listened to her self-titled album last night for the first time, and it was incredible; hard to believe she's only two years older than me.

Anyway, here's another favorite shot of mine; I prefer the more classy shoots she's done.

People (reliable people like Jennifer Garner, Jamie Kennedy and Camryn Manheim, to name a few) that have hung out with and worked with her have said all of what I said about her.

Unreliable people like Rich Cronin (one of her ex boyfriends; Rich Cronin was as much a junkie and trash talker as Charlie Sheen), Sarah Silverman (who was in Heartbreakers and is a moderate drunk) and some woman named Claudia Wick (who was the original costume designer of Ghost Whisperer and enough of a junkie to do Charlie Sheen proud) don't count and cannot be trusted, just like Charlie Sheen.

I don't keep up with celebrity gossip, so my comments are limited. All I read about Rich Cronin was him hearing from a third party that Jennifer was cheating on him, and she dumped him when he confronted her. I could understand if he was violent or aggressive in that situation, but simply asking for the truth shouldn't set a person off like that.

Bringing things back on topic, though: Jennifer is the #1 famous woman I'd like to meet someday. I don't agree with every career choice she's made, but that goes for almost every actor I like as well. I really wanted to watch "Ghost Whisperer", but the constant "sexing up" of her character was a frustrating distraction for me. That's also why I avoided "The Client List". I've seen a few episodes of "Criminal Minds" in the past, but it gets truly frightening and disgusting sometimes, so I'm not a huge fan. I love Jennifer's voice though, and she seems so joyful when interviewed. I found it ironic that she made the "Last Summer" films, but has said she actually gets scared by horror genre.

Here is the truth about what happened between her and Rich Cronin:

Rich Cronin had severe problems with alcohol and illegal drugs (just like Charlie Sheen). Eventually, he admitted that every bad thing he said about her on Howard Stern and elsewhere was completely false and all in his hallucinations from the massive amounts of alcohol and illegal drugs in his system (which was 20 hours a day on average).

He also admitted that it was him that dumped her because of his problems with addiction (which he hid from everybody until he publicly confessed a few months after dumping her). He confessed that he was much more drunk and on drugs on Howard Stern than at any other point in his life (which is seriously saying something, considering he was already a large amount drunk and on drugs to begin with).

Rich Cronin confessed to all of the above on Celebrity Rehab in late 2009 (when JLH and Jamie Kennedy visited him at his insistence so he could apologize for the problems he caused for Jennifer and Jamie). He requested it not be televised as he wanted the visit to be low profile. However, he did give Jennifer and Jamie permission to discuss it on talk shows (but only if questioned about it) and keep it as brief and simple as possible.

After Jennifer and Jamie broke up (which was a 50/50 decision on their part; they still remain close friends to this day), they were questioned in late 2010 (after Rich's death) about their visit to Rich Cronin on Celebrity Rehab. They said they settled their differences with Rich and were on good terms with him until he passed away.

Sorry to go on about this gossip. I just think people should know the truth about what happened in the situation I just talked about. And, yes, I heard, read and saw all of the above directly from the sources themselves, not from those terroristic tabloids.

Thanks for the clarification; it was great that he made peace with them and his addictions before dying. So many never get those opportunities, and I'm glad he did the right thing in the end.

I hugely admire your positive attitude, Moviefan2k4.

It was 1/4 the alcohol, 1/4 the illegal drugs and 1/2 the leukemia that killed him. He was diagnosed with leukemia in early 2005. His leukemia went on remission in mid 2008 only to rear it's ugly head again in mid 2010, unfortunately.

The sad thing is (besides Mr. Cronin's death and problems) that very few people know the information I shared (including what really killed him). Most people think it was just the leukemia. But, as you can see above, that is not the case.

I do my best; whether it works or not largely depends on how personal the situation is to me. I can be very confrontational with people on some issues, as the mods can attest...but I'm trying to reign myself in. I learned last year that most of my "intensity" is rooted in Asperger's Syndrome. Being diagnosed was a relief, because there were many times I genuinely thought I was crazy.

I've never known anyone with leukemia, that I can recall. I know its a terrible disease, and I really hope the medical community finds a curse for it someday.

Yeah, those moronic tabloids and crooked politicians won't tell anyone the truth anymore; I find it both frustrating and extremely sad. That's why I don't watch the news anymore; its all about disaster.

Anyway, let's get back on topic. Your move...

I wish I knew how to install avatars and post pictures so I can have a Jennifer Love Hewitt avatar and post pictures of her in this topic and also in other topics.

After that, I lost track of her for a while, until seeing a "Party of Five" episode about six years later. It took me a while to recognize her, actually. Here's a clip of her from the "Kids, Inc." days...
I remember watching Kids Incorporated when I was little, but my parents had to dump our cable in the late-80s, so that was before she joined the cast. So the first time I noticed her was when she starred in the short-lived The Byrds of Paradise on ABC in early-1994.

In fact, it was flipping through an issue of TV Guide and seeing this picture in an ad for the show that caught my attention.

Yowzers! I was like "This girl is gorgeous! I have to watch this show now." Haha!! She then quickly became one of my biggest celebrity crushes, alongside the likes of Tiffani-Amber Thiessen and Cindy Crawford.

And here's a bonus color (and slightly different) version of the same picture.

As for meeting Jen, I came so close several years ago. I went to San Diego ComicCon in 2005, but could only attend for one day and not the same day she was on a panel to discuss the then-upcoming Ghost Whisperer. So when I went back in 2006, I was hoping to see her, but she wasn't scheduled for any panels and it didn't appear like she'd be in attendance.

However, after returning home from the con, I found out that on one of the three days I was there she appeared at a dealer booth in the exhibit hall. ARGH! Those appearances are never listed on ComicCon's website, because it's the individual dealers themselves who schedule those appearances (since it's their own booths) and not ComicCon. You'd have to be following the dealer's website or whatever to know who they might have appearing at their booths, or be lucky enough to walk by and see a sign advertising any special appearances.

I was like "Oh, so close!!"

Tiffani Thiessen was my second crush, and I still think she's gorgeous. I loved her role as Tim DeKay's wife in "White Collar", but she'll always be Kelly from "Saved by the Bell" first.

Wow...that was a great story. I've never been to SDCC, because the tickets sell out so quickly and I don't drive. Plus, the whole purchasing process is so confusing, with registrations and such. The conventions in Texas are pretty much "credit card online now, or pay cash at the door" - short and to the point. I think some companies are just way too complicated.

For awhile in sixth grade, I had pictures of Thiessen taped to the inside of my school binder. I think she was the crush of just about every 12 year old boy in the very early-90s.

Yeah, SDCC is tougher to get into these days. When I went back in '04, '05 and '06, it hadn't gotten that bad yet. It's definitely worth going to and not really that expensive, IMO; it's the price of hotel rooms that eat your wallet more than the con, unless you stay further outside of downtown and drive or take the local trolley to the convention center.

A very good looking lady. We enjoyed the Ghost Whisperer TV show a lot and she was one of the main reasons.

Tonight's episode of Criminal Minds is supposed to be a big one for Jen's character, revealing back story to her as the team investigates a plane crash.

And just because I'm always in the mood to look at pics of JLH . . .

Oh, baby! Great pic.

And yeah, it was a good episode for her character. Overall, though, it was a bit so-so, I thought. But it was nice to learn more about Kate. And more JLH screen time is always a good thing!

IMO, the 3rd episode in the current season of Criminal Minds was the best one so far (largely because Jennifer had more screen time).

We all know Jennifer has great "assets", but so do a lot of other women. That's why I prefer more classy photos, like this...

I very strongly agree. I like her good make up free pictures the best (I personally feel that these pictures are the classiest). Unfortunately, they are often very hard to find.

I was expecting the episode to really focus on her, which is what all the promotion around the episode seemed to indicate. Like some of the most annoying episodes of CM, it felt like they left the unsub's motives unresolved. Over the last few months that I've been watching the show through reruns, there have been quite a few episodes that feel like they just come to a stop rather than properly wrapping up. So overall, I thought it was disappointing. Of these first three episodes, I think only the season premiere has been really good.

But hopefully, we'll be getting more good Kate-centric scenes in upcoming episodes. One of the producers did indicate we would be learning a lot about Kate this season, because while the other characters have had the luxury of nearly ten years to be developed, Kate will have to be developed much more quickly due to being new.
