While i agree Indiana Jones is one of those too iconic to remake or reboot, you are way wrong on those other three:

Spider-Man absolutely needed to be rebooted. The original 3 films were mediocre at best, painfully cheesy at worst, and Maguire, Dunst, and Franco is like the holy triumvirate of horrible acting.

With Robocop the only possible way to move on was a reboot. 3 was laughably bad (2 wasn't particularly good either).

Terminator isnt even a reboot. It's continuing the same story.

Um, no. The Raimi Spiderman films were way better than the mediocre, soulless crap they're now churning out.

The Robocop series didn't need to "move on". Just left. Get an original idea FFS.

The Terminator series should have ended with 2. The story is done, and they've added nothing of interest since. Again - get an original idea.

If Paramount/LucasFilm had a younger Indiana Jones Trilogy in the 1990's, I figured Craig Sheffer would've made a perfect Indiana in his late 20's-early 30's while Harrison played Indiana Jones in the 1980's Trilogy I figure in his 40's.
Especially if they were going to adapt the Bantam Books into movies or long mini-series. Why not Indiana Jones and the Dance of the Giants, Indy and the Genesis Deluge, Indy and the Hollow Earth & Indiana Jones and the Secret of the Sphinx. Would've been great to have seen Indiana Jones and the Iron Phoenix/Spear of Destiny into movies as well.
I don't see why there needs to be a Reboot. Why not have another Indiana Jones Trilogy where he's younger? Maybe even have it take place during World War II even.

I don't buy it. I know Lucasfilm will reboot or retool the franchise eventually, but there's a lot of speculation that a lot of what got Ford back for 'Episode VII' has to do with them letting him do at least one more Indy film. So I can expect we'll see Indy 5 before we see the full reboot. Hell no to Pattinson in the role, not because I don't think he can't act, he can, but he's not right for Indy.

I can't see anyone but Ford as Indy but may be they can do a Son of Indy film trilogy.

Hell yeah. We sat through the vomit-fest that was the new Spiderman film(first one only) and the performers in those films are terrible and so are the films themselves. Bunch of worthless crap. Maguire, Dunst and Franco may not be great actors but they were CAST well for the film and thats what counts.

And yes - The terminator series should have ended after 2. I mean - they keep doing the same thing over and over. Why not go back into time a little arlier and just kill Sarah as an infant at the damned hospital where she was born?

Why not? They are going to be terrible anyways so they may as well use terrible actors in the films. They'll fit in perfectly

I'm thinking we'll still see an Indy 5 as long as Harry Ford and Stevie Spielberg are still alive and able to. The original press release from Daily Variety from the late 70's said there would be 5 films.

There is only one person in the world that wants to see this happen, and that's Hayden Christensen. If Hayden Christensen was one of the problems with the Star Wars prequels, then Robert Pattinson may take it a step further and just ruin the entire Indiana Jones franchise. Please tell me this isn't true, as Indiana Jones is my favorite movie character.

It's coming from a British tabloid. It's definitely not true at all.

I don't think it's possible to be a worst actor than Hayden.

If they really wanted a young actor to reboot Indiana Jones with, Andrew Garfield could do it.

Greatest internet troll job ever was the story that was circulating about how George Lucas would respond to Phantom Menace racism rumors by casting an Asian martial arts expert, a spiritual Native American and one more character I can't recall for Attack of the Clones... and people believed it!!!! Sites all over were publishing it!

Bradley Cooper is the only one I can see who has both the ruggedness and charisma to take over the fedora. In fact, I'd prefer it over 70-year-old Ford returning for one more.

It's been far too long since KOTCS.... They need to Capitalize on Ford while he's not in a wheelchair yet... boggles the mind that they didn't release 2 more since then (i liked kotcs btw)
