That is one ugly steelbook. I thought it looked bad already but somehow they have made it look even worse.

Well at least my GB members can cover that up with a fab lenticular cover.
Sorry if this has been established already but i sensed a bit of back n forth on the subject. Does this actually have the 3D disc or is it definitely 2D only? I keep getting conflicting information/ opinions. Would be nice to know before i go in first thing on Monday.

It'll be the exact same disc as the standard release so it's mastered in 4k

So its definitive, no 3D disc then? Thanks mate for confirming. I heard there was a Sainsburys exclusive which I'm assuming is also 2D only. Looks like it'll be the normal 3D release for me then. Sony ones usually come with a shrink wrapped slip at least.

The image isn't even centred properly. There's more black space at the top.

The back's great but oh dear, they've really messed up the front.

Not so sure about picking up my reserved copy now (only paid £2 deposit, is that refundable??)

It's a reall shame, since the steelbook for TASM1 is so pretty and nicely done. Would've been great if Scanavo had done a better job with TASM2.

Try Tesco in store, they are giving away a free spider man action figure when you buy the film.

Thanks mate I will do most likely. I'll have to see if someone can get to a Tesco Monday morning on my behalf as ill be at work with no decent Tesco till home time. Kind of frustrating that 3D owners are ever so slightly getting the shaft with this.

The reason for the black border is because the eye is embossed. I think it might look even worse if the black border was not there and the eye was embossed.

I've seen better pictures of the steelbook and I think it looks pretty good (with the embossing of course).

I think they are asking why the need for the double border. It makes no sense that artwork does not fill the whole area of the steelbook inside of a debossing.

No thanks. Shame. Would have liked something nice to match the first film.
I think the 2D slipcover looks much better
