I still cannot believe that Paper Moon is not on Blu-ray yet (in region A). That's a movie that screams for a Criterion release.

I was really hoping for Criterion to put that out with some more of Peter Bogdanovich's films. I have been thinking about buying the UK one but I keep holding out for the Criterion (or anyone else) with new extras and maybe a newer transfer....

From my collection, the following are MIA on BD:
- Charlotte's Web (1973)
- Race for Your Life & Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (these two only got DVD releases within the past four years)
- The Brady Bunch movies
- Harriet the Spy
- Good Burger
- Snow Day
- Clockstoppers
- Beavis & Butt-Head Do America
- MouseHunt (part of the DW Studios catalog, a solid HD transfer exists, and has aired on Starz)
- The Rugrats movies (the first film doesn't even have an anamorphic DVD. Let's hope the live-action film stirs up some interest within the studio)
- Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (like MouseHunt, a good HD version has aired on Starz)
- Hey Arnold!: The Movie (as well as The Jungle Movie, though Nickelodeon owns that one in-house)
- The Wild Thornberrys Movie
- Mean Girls (I know this was released on Blu-ray, but for whatever reason it seems to be OOP)

Those are actually with CBS, who has a distribution deal with Paramount. It's definitely more likely another studio could license those. Kino and Image have both had deals with CBS in the past (Image for The Twilight Zone, Kino for Under Capricorn, etc).

They've always been Paramount films - only A Boy Named Charlie Brown and Snoopy Come Home are with CBS because they were originally Cinema Center Films productions.

Ah okay. I was just confused because the other two were definitely CBS, and they released a collection with all four. I wonder if that's why it took an eternity for these two to even reach DVD. :/

Paramount still selected what titles were to be released. Warner acted only as a distributor.

Yeah. Honestly the best thing to happen would be Paramount opening up more for licensing with labels.

The worst company that deals with Blu-Rays. So many that aren't released:

- The Hunted with Tommy Lee Jones
- Uncommon Valor (1983)
- April Fool's Day (1986)
- The Golden Child
- Another 48 Hours
- Body Parts with Jeff Fahey

And so much more.

At this point they might as well do a 4K UHD disc with a Dolby Atmos track and Dolby Vision.

They are making Coming To America 2, I would not at all be surprised to see these finally get at least a Blu-ray release from Paramount.

Coming To America will likely get a UHD release.

Still these are Paramount catalogue titles so don't expect nothing till announced.

Coming To America UHD is the most likely to happen.

Over ten years into the blu-ray format, I can't believe we've yet to get a U.S. release of "King Kong" (1976). I have the studiocanal blu, but really hope that Paramount will release this as a collector's edition someday...or license it out to a boutique label. Maybe we'd get an extended cut with the extra footage shown when it aired on NBC in the early 80's.

Kong continues to be a popular movie "monster" with Peter Jackson's 2005 version, WB's "Kong: Skull Island" from 2017 and a lot of interest/anticipation for the upcoming "Godzilla v Kong" next year.

And while we're at it, where's "The Core" that was pulled at the 11th hour along with several other titles?

Sadly, I think we're unlikely to get any more Polanski BDs from Criterion, given the current climate. Sony Classics bought his last film, BASED ON A TRUE STORY, for the US and then never even released it.

I was holding out hope for The Tenant and The Pianist, and also a BD upgrade of Knife in the Water, with all his short films in HD, but I think those are never going to happen now.

I'm genuinely wondering if the film he's currently shooting, J'ACCUSE, will ever play here.

I keep waiting thinking it HAS to come eventually, but it keeps not coming and the overseas editions keep going OOP. Frustrating.

My most awaited Paramount BDs are:

- Black Sunday (1977)
- Dead Again
- Gallipoli
- The Tenant
- Roman Holiday
- Paris When It Sizzles
- Sabrina (1995)
- Addams Family Values

(not that I ever expect to see any of them at this point.)
