I love how the confirmed date of this 'newer 30th Anniversary' version from TT is right after the foreign release comes out.... Makes people rethink importing....

I asked Nick directly this will be 3,000 units as usual. Seems "The Blob" will be the one and only instance of extra units for now. And that should be sold out by the end of next week maybe early into the week after that, I'm actually surprised it's not totally sold out already.

P.S. I get to see this in theaters next week! Excited for that.
Sell it, I got 130 for mine. Then you can either grab the rerelease or one of the cheap imports if you don't care about lossless sound or special features. Im waiting for the rerelease.

I don't see why people feel cheapened, I mean isn't there any import people can buy now for a reasonable price? So, who cares if Twilight Time makes it available again here, you didn't expect "Fright Night" to be off the home video market in the US forever did you? Whatever you paid that's on you, if you paid over $50 for it, you got a lot more problems than just feeling cheapened..

the victim complex of people who were used to being able to scalp copies for inflated prices and say neener neener about their ultra cool rare blu ray of a movie in higher demand than supply.

I feel cheapened because when I purchased it, directly from Twilight Time when it was released, is because I was told there was only going to be 3,000 made. Therefore, I have 1/3000. Now I'm going to have 1/6,000. Yeah, that still very rare and limited, but it's just not as special.

I love the film, and don't plan on reselling it. In fact, I had no idea they were getting so much money for them. I just popped it in recently and watched it as part of my 31 days of horror films I'm doing.

I'm bummed I lost my magnet though.

Might as well sell your copy now!
That was the only "Limited" portion of the release left.

Yeah really man, that magnet was a huge selling-point. But, really why not cash in on it, sell it now to some unassuming consumer to who wants for a somewhat hefty price and wait til January and get the new release, atleast this new one is going to have special features, don't tell me you have sentimental value for your overpriced barebones blu-ray?

We're looking at commentary and maybe a featurette for the new version man, upgrade.

It's good that TT is able to re-release Fright Night. Those who missed out don't have to pay some overinflated price and there is the option of importing the European releases for those in the know.

I'm definitely interested in what's listed for the extras on the re-release although more than likely I'll probably pass on the double-dip. I'm happy with what I got. Definitely don't feel cheapened that my copy is no longer "limited" considering I've had the opportunity to watch my copy for over 3 years now before another alternative arrived by way of importing or this re-release.

I say good for TT. Business is good enough that they're able to offer new releases and revisit their previous sellouts.

Not me. I'm after the movie and English artwork and I'll be paying half what this will cost. I have the option to sell on, knowing I'll get money back and some, if I like the extras on the 30th.

Think the people trying to sell their original TT release for $100+ will be most annoyed, followed by those who thought they were awesome for owning the TT one....which will now be inferior

It's great it gives the chance to buy or upgrade, but like when Fox or Universal churn out another issue of Batman or Gremlins, I wish they were releasing a title yet to be released in the Blu format.

If it is just the movies and features from the original TT releases you want, you can import from Oz. They have English text, same artwork as well. Both FN and Christine cost me + shipping costs the same as one TT title (original not ebay)

A bit off topic and this was posted on another thread but can anyone verify whether these are official releases or bootlegs for the original Fright Night 2 German release?

Fright Night 2 remastered listed on DVD

http://www.amazon.de/FRIGHT-NIGHT-Na...fright+night+2

It says Happy Maggots is the studio.

Another one:

http://www.amazon.de/NACHBAR-VAMPIR-.../dp/B00F467W9C

This one says studio is Coroner LTD

Fright Night Blu down to 8.30€ at amazon.de

http://www.amazon.de/Die-rabenschwar...s=fright+night

They sometimes have these special offers when an item is out of stock like the above Blu at the moment. The price will go up again once its back in stock.
