I'm glad as well. Always worried about fox releases now due to sunny in philly, americans and modern family not getting released on blu.

But in Archer's case, it doesn't matter. Season 5 just came out, which is after the flood of TV shows we found out Fox is not releasing on Blu-ray anymore. Archer is safe.

Is Archer: Season 6 even gonna get a BD release? Cause I've noticed that FX hasn't been releasing the last couple of seasons for some of my favorite shows on Blu Ray(e.g. Louie, It's Always Sunny)

FOX seems to be having a dispute with Amazon, all of their pre-order shows are 'unavailable'. Similar situations happened before with HBO and ABC/Disney.

No, just Amazon. Same thing happened between Disney and Amazon last year, the Captain America: Winter Soldier preorders didn't go live until just a few weeks before release.

They'll work it out.

Grabbed a copy from BBY when I was picking up my SteelBook™ of The Hateful Eight. This is one of my favorite series on TV these days.

Season 7 is on the way to BD so I will post my frustration here (instead of starting a new thread).

Firstly, Australia is getting DVD only so I will be importing (Family Guy is the only series I buy on DVD anymore). Secondly, why so expensive? Amazon is showing full price and has for some time. While I will buy it, the cost is ludicrous at $50 US. I paid about the same for the 8-disc 2016 World Series!

Hope the price will come down to at least 20% off at some stage in the near future.

It seems Archer season 7 is only being released on DVD here in the states as well. I just received an email from Amazon informing me that my order was canceled since it will only be released on DVD. I got $10 of store credit but that is still a huge disappointment, especially since I own all of the current seasons on blu-ray and I have been a fan for a long time now .

^^^^ dammit! If that is true, that is terrible news.

I just ordered season 6 on BluRay even though I am several seasons behind, just in case buying it might show support.

If season 7 doesn't get released on BluRay I will buy the download; I'm not going to support DVD.

I think most shows later seasons' sales don't really drop off, they just stretch out in time. Well maybe a little. But speaking for myself I just take a few extra months or years until I need the latest season.

The same thing happened with the last season--just look at the posts nearer to the beginning of the thread.

I firmly believe that a person or persons in an influential position at Fox is/are keeping this series alive on Blu-ray, probably because they enjoy the show, and probably because the cost/benefit ratio for the show is cheaper than most of their more prominent series. I certainly wish they would extend the same courtesy to many other shows.
