Quick question does the announcement[s] of the dvd/blu-ray pre-order of film x stop you from going to the cinema to see it and wait for it to come out on dvd/blu-ray or is it a film by film case

For movies like this, theaters always, then Blu-ray. Increasingly with the superhero stuff I end up buying even if I don't like it that much (Iron Man 2, Dark Knight Rises), but this one was enjoyable.

Saw this one last night in Dolby Atmos and my first D-BOX experience, was really cool. Loved the movie with only a few exceptions, LOVED the D-BOX in the action sequences and kept my chair on the maximum setting of the three.

Definitely will pick up the Blu-ray.

Why would you ever WANT exclusive content on a pricey box set? I can understand being hardcore enough to buy the stupid thing, but wanting them to put exclusive cuts in a box set after we bought the individual discs? That's like masochism.

I am sure the box set will have an exclusive disc with some disposable featurettes on it, same as phase one did. I really doubt they would be shitty enough to put an extended cut only in the box set, and if they do that would be something to complain about, not thank them for.

Yeah I doubt Disney would do anything special besides some fluff. Hell, they didn't even include the amazing Iron Man 1 and 2 extras with Phase One! Plus the briefcase idea wasn't very appealing.

I would rather buy these movies individually anyway, we're far far away from this franchise being done.

If there is a BBY steelbook, will there be another GotG fiasco?

I hope we get two Bluray discs with this movie. One with the movie and another with lots a bonus features like the 3 movie trailers, TV spots, poster art, making the soundtrack etc. I really don't know why Disney/Marvel are anti bonus features. This need to stop.

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and predict no bonus disc. Prove me wrong, Disney!

Would love to see Avengers: Age Of Ultron in theaters but for various reasons I don't go to theaters anymore, so I will just wait for Bluray/dvd release.

Will all retailers be releasing the Bluray,DVD, Digital Copy combo pack that Wal-Mart is advertising or is Wal-Mart's listing possibly wrong? Why would Marvel/Disney go back to releasing a Bluray,DVD, Digital Copy combo pack now since they dropped the DVD copy with the past few Marvel movies?

It's always the penultimate week in September if the film was released in the first week of May.
The date i'm hearing that A:AoU will be released on BD is September 29th.

No, because we should all know that regardless when a BD is announced it's more than likely coming 3-5 months after the theatrcial release anyways.

I'm just offering up a guess based on the pattern they have established when a film opens up the first Friday in May.

So it will be available on BD where you live, just over a month before it is released in the U.S. on BD.

Yes, I know. I've found out it will be released a week later then that in the U.S. .
