I think The Manitou is with Lionsgate sadly (at least, according to Amazon it is). The Attic should still be with MGM. Homebodies I believe is with StudioCanal.

Regarding Fight For Your Life - I wonder if Blue Underground might consider doing a Blu using a 35mm print?

My votes for future American Horror Project volumes would include:
PIGS
THE ORPHAN
VICTIMS
FREDRIC HOBBS COLLECTION (TROIKA/ALABAMA'S GHOST/GODMONSTER OF INDIAN FLATS)
Other than some of the Hobbs' films, I haven't seen any of these but they sound like some of the most interesting selections in the Thrower book.

Thanks for the info. Pigs was actually the one on my list I was least interested in, so that's okay. In any event, can't wait to see how future AHP volumes shape up.

Cool, first I heard of that. I've wanted to see it for a while now, but all that's out there are crummy VHS-sourced copies.

I pre-ordered American Horror Project: Volume One this morning. I've got a decent gut feeling about these movies.

WELCOME TO ARROW BEACH has been mentioned (by Walt or Bill) as being released someday by Warner Archives.

Bill has stated that the rights owner of THE NIGHT GOD SCREAMED has no interest in releasing the title. I wonder if that's the same rights owner who controls DEVIL TIMES FIVE (aka THE HORRIBLE HOUSE ON THE HILL)? I mention that because I saw a drive-in double-bill of SCREAMED and DEVIL TIMES FIVE.

Walt from Scorpion said something about either The Mafu Cage or Goodbye Gemini coming shortly, so 50/50 on that one getting a release? :P

Is this worthy of a blind buy? I'm pondering picking up the Arrow UK version in March but I'm still not 100% sure

If you enjoy moody, elliptical, and 'arty' independent horror films like Messiah of Evil, Carnival of Souls, Let's Scare Jessica to Death and Axe, then I'd say yes. Otherwise, you might want to try a rental or review first.

I've yet to see any of those.

If you look at my collection of movies I own, would you recommend this set?

If you actually like all the movies you own, you'll PROBABLY like these. You don't have anything directly comparable but you have plenty of contemporary stuff from other countries and some vaguely arty weirdness of the Italian variety.

Wow, I hope so. The Mafu Cage is fantastic, one of my favorites & the DVD is atrocious.

I thought the DVD was terrific. Loved the interviews with Carol Kane and Lee Grant.

I would upgrade if the price were right (assuming it's limited, it won't be).

When I hear these two movies mentioned I'm in! Messiah of Evil got a wonderful Blu-ray release and I'd would absolutely love to see a blu release of Sole Survivor and Let's Scare Jessica to Death. Those three are definitely up there in my "underrated horror masterpieces" category so if any of these films remind the tone even a little bit it's a must have for me.

I have the 2005 disc. Looks like a VHS rip. I never upgraded it and now the newer one is pretty pricey, so I've been holding out for a BD.

Nope, you shouldn't watch them or post about them!

Witch Who Came from the Sea is well-described by that Stephen Thrower excerpt I posted on the second or third page of this thread. It's got a hazy, weird feeling to it and definitely isn't for everyone. It is not comparable to Carnival of Souls or Messiah of Evil in any way other than being an American low budget, arty horror film. :P
