I kind of wish they had kept it a secret until the movie opened, considering they waited this long.

I guess Sony saw how well House/Clock in its Walls did and decided to show JB now.

From the reactions I heard in the theaters for this trailer, I think it would've been wise to use Jack Black in the trailer ( or at least show his name ) to begin with.

That being said, I would've enjoyed the surprise on first viewing.

The fact that he isn't featured on the posters or in the trailers until now would seem to indicate that his appearance will be a cameo at best.

Such a short movie without the credits. They should have just brought back Dylan Minnette and Odeya Rush. Not sure if I'll see this in the theatre.

[Show spoiler]Haven't read it, but while browsing through the book shelves, came across the novelization. Stine was in the novelization for the film, it seemed more cameo-ish, but it also seemed more of an extended one if the novelization follows the final product.

If I was 11 years old, I would ask my parents ten times a day to go see this till they take me. It looks like so much fun.

Looks like reviews are really poor. Is anyone seeing this tomorrow? I'm still deciding if I want to... it seems like a rushed sequel just to make a quick buck. Maybe it is best as a rental?

I saw it. Only for the free slap bracelet and I have A-List.

Completely forgettable in terms of plot or story like the first film. Definitely wait for a discount day or the inevitable free Atom ticket offer.

But if we don't go see it and it doesn't do well we won't get any more Goosebumps movies. I do actually want more, but I want good ones. This doesn't look like it will be one but I'm thinking I'll see it anyway.

I found the first movie to be surprisingly entertaining. As a matter of fact, I recently enjoyed it upon 3D rewatch. Even though the reviews are not great on this new one, I will most likely catch a matinee tomorrow.

Actually, I thought this was pretty fun lol

I enjoyed the different monsters. Slappy had a nice sized role and was fairly interesting/creepy. Decent or above average acting. It felt fairly paint by numbers, but still not a bad way to spend 90 minutes. Had a nice Halloween atmosphere and some cool effects. Jack Black is really just a cameo for those curious.

I liked this quiete a bit. The set up is pretty rough but the 2nd half is pure Halloween bliss.

Ignore the terrible trailers and mediocre reviews, if you like Goosebumps go see this. I might like this more than the last one, this felt much more like a Goosebumps story. It wasn't quite as spooky as the show, it was more spooky than the first. I feel like if this gets the attention it deserves it could be the new Hocus Pocus or Halloweentown.

The characters were pretty cut out (but what Goosebumps characters aren't?), but the villains were great and the story was not a carbon copy of the first movie, as the trailers made it appear. I was a bit disappointed that
[Show spoiler]there are only a few monsters from the books, but that'snot really a big deal
. I loved Slappy in this, if you're a fan of the books he's reason enough to see this,
[Show spoiler]the first 20 minutes are a loose adaption of Night of rhe Living Dummy, which was awesome
. Also Jack Black and Ken Jeong were great, as expected.
