...that really torpedoed the end of the movie imo.
Oh God. Cd head? Bartender man? Whatever the girl was supposed to be.

3 had a really good idea behind it, but the execution of that idea was God awful.

I'm kind of hoping more for raw head Rex instead of hellraiser.

CD head continues to be one of my more favorable Cenobites. It takes the concept of whatever is near you or that you are involved with in life can be twisted to make you a monster of hell. It was an odd choice sure, but I loved the fun spirit of it and the creativity. Anyone can make a black leather fetish monster... I'll take video camera head and CD head any day over many of the generic other creations.

The only good thing about Hellraiser 3 was the Motorhead cover of Ozzy Osbourne's Hellraiser.

As someone called Hellraiserfan I've owned the first two movies on V/H/S (how many posters here are even old enough to have owned V/H/S let alone grew up watching movies in that format lol), DVD as well as Blu-ray. I don't care much for epic box sets, especially if they have movies past Hellbound.

All I remember is that way back when I was going to buy the first film on Blu-ray I asked which of the two was the better version. Just about everyone said the Anchor Bay version was. I'm very happy with that version so I had no reason to pay attention to box sets being released, especially ones not released in the States.

Lemmy co-wrote that one, so I have a hard time referring to it as a cover. It feels like just as much a Motorhead song as it does an Ozzy song.

Fine by me. I'm not even a fan of the Ozzy version and love the Motorhead one.

Terri indulged in smoking when she was human so she still indulged in smoking when she became a cenobite. J.P. Monroe indulged in sex so he became Piston Head which I assume is a twisted representation of sex on the brain.

Don't forget about the great band Armored Saint being the club band in the movie.

How anyone can be disappointed with these cenobites is crazy...

Also, this scene is amazing and is probably the most memorable of the entire series for me.

As a Catholic this is/was the kind of stuff that just resonates on a whole other level. It's so gleefully evil that no matter how many times I see it I can't help but get sucked into the moment.

Hellraiser 3 is a good Anthony Hickox flick, but it's a shitty Hellraiser flick. It's not cheese, it's Velveeta.

Bloodline was the first Hellraiser movie I watched and I still think it's my favorite. I'd say the first two movies are really the only good ones but Bloodline has an atmosphere I love. Like Halloween 6 and Crow City of Angels, the atmosphere makes them truly enjoyable for me regardless of their other flaws.

I've only seen Bloodline once.

...I remember thinking it was a great concept and a lousy movie.

That's nice?

I'm twenty-two and I was watching films solely via VHS until I was nine, when I got my first DVD player. And even then, I still watched videos. I'm sure the overwhelming majority of posters here maintained a video collection until they made the switch to DVD (if not LaserDisc) There's nothing particularly unique or elitist about it.

Old enough and enthusiast enough to have had a laserdisc collection is something to brag about. Everyone and their mother had VHS if you were alive in the 80's.

And the '90s, which one doesn't even have to be that old for. Or so I like to think.

Even when it's improperly framed?

It'll be interesting to see if LG addresses the issues with the Arrow transfer if/when they eventually release it.
