If Arrow are ignoring the question there must be a reason. That doesn't mean it WILL be cut, but it might mean they're not sure yet, i.e. they're working on adding the cut material or whatever.

Jesus £59.99, if Ultra HD Blu-ray wasn't on the market I wouldn't complain but Jesus it is so I will.

I would guess it says that because I'm sure the first two movies will be. But maybe they will mess up and make all four movies play for both regions.

That isn't bad at all for a four movie set. Especially since there is no way they will actually be charging that much for it by release date. The US version has a $60 MSRP for just the first two movies.

I'm hoping this set will have both the R rated and Uncensored, if there are any, via seamless branching. Maybe even the original theatrical mono tracks with the remixes? Of course in the menu and options the original mono in lossless or uncompressed should always be the default.
Used to watch these a ton at friends houses and when I used to own the DVDs. Always found it fun since I'm also a fan of CHEERS that George Wendt was in HOUSE and John Ratzenberger was in HOUSE II: The Second Story.

Is HOUSE III: The Horror Show or HOUSE IV: The Repossesion an actual HOUSE film or just titled that after the fact? (I might've seen these two only a handful of times and nowhere nearly as much as the first two.)

I believe House III was titled as such for release in Europe.

It's currently £44.99 on Arrow's webstore, hence £11 per movie, which certainly isn't too bad.

I also have no idea when independant labels will start doing UHD but I guess it won't be before a while.

£15 per movie plus a "free" book is perfectly reasonable.

As I doubt these will ever come out on UHD blu-ray I don't see what point you are making.

Preordered via Zavvi. I am sure the set will be a treasure trove!

I really don't think these are movies to plant a UHD flag on.

HMV in the UK has this up as a pre-order for £34.99 currently - they only ship to the UK though.

I would be very surprised if the price doesn't go down to a similar amount on Amazon nearer release date.

Indeed. It took them this long to be released on Blu-ray, by a boutique label. I mean, never say never and all that, it's possible Arrow, Criterion, etc. will jump aboard the UHD train at some point, but that's probably years away if so and it doesn't necessarily mean they will rush to release everything on that format.

There are so many "ifs" and "whens" here, if you care about owning these movies at all this set is a no-brainer.

Yeah, the vast majority of catalog movies won't come to UHD at all, and if they do not for a long time probably. Also the fact that lower budget 35mm movies from the 80s aren't exactly going to be a massive upgrade on UHD. The HDR would be minimal (and revisionist), the added detail super subtle.

Man it would be ultra awesome if Arrow accidentally pulled a first pressing of Deep Red or a corrected 2nd pressing of Shivers by making all four movies Region A+B, but i'm going to expect only the first two movies to be playable on a Region A player just to be on the safe side.

I really doubt the third movie will be A compatible, unless it's a massive factory screw-up. Since Shout released the movie in the US I am 100% positive they are contractually bound to lock it. Who knows on the fourth movie though.

It's sure be nice if they'd announce that Parts 1,2 & 4 were Region Free and only part 3 was locked. It'd make my decision that much easier as far as which version I wanted to go for.
