Yes, it's Lionsgate handling home video distribution for this film.

Listed under distributors in the company credits on IMDb:
Lionsgate Home Enterainment (2017) (USA) (DVD)

This movie is either going to rejuvenate or break EuropaCorp though, if it flops worldwide it's probably going to be the end of them.
Good point blufan, about this being a critical release for the studio/distributor. They've spent a ton on marketing too, as I am seeing previews often wherever I look for Valerian 3D.

So it's up against Dunkirk on release day. That's a more serious film based on the war. In contrast, Valerian looks like an epic, sci fi adventure with some very impressive visuals and 3D. Hopefully 3D fans see Valerian if they can only choose 1 film.

The we have to hope for a blu ray 3D release depending on who is distributing it in the US. Bottomline though, this being a 3D spectacle, chances are good in the US and worldwide for a blu ray 3D by December 2017.

Well nice bonus for anyone seeing Spider-Man: Homecoming in 3D. They are attaching the entire opening unedited sequence of Valerian to what seems to be all 3D prints of the film

The intro is really good so that's a smart move to get some more people interested.

That's brilliant, of course after watching that opening in 3D, Spiderman's 3D will be lacking

Cool, thanks!
Cinemark 3D theaters will feature it also, good to hear.
I'm going to see both movies regardless, but it's a smart marketing move to promote the strong 3D feature.

So are people talking about seeing this movie from what others have heard? I hope enough people are anticipating seeing this film, and in 3D so it does well enough. Looking forward to it.

The 3D is great, the visuals are amazing, it's a great space adventure in the vein of The Fifth Element, Star Wars, and GotG.

One of my favorites this year.

Cool, it sounds like you already got to see the 3D version. If so, thanks, glad you enjoyed both the film and 3D.

Nice, you're lucky you got to see this in 3D. I saw a advance screening of this last night and it was shown in 2D. I really liked the movie and storyline. It was refreshing to say the least in that it felt like an 80's adventure throwback film. The visuals are absolutely incredible and it shows off every Euro spent on them.
The opening 15 minutes is awesome, things don't always seem to be until you put on your glasses

I truly wish I could have seen this in 3D last night, but there's absolutely no doubt I will be seeing this again opening day in glorious 3D.

Cool, thanks for the review. Yes, again, this one would be worth checking out twice just for the 3D from what we've seen in the trailers.

Not much of a review because the screening I went to last night they mentioned to please not discuss the film yet. I believe they are going to be doing future screenings where that won't be the case. I remember seeing Kingsman almost 6 weeks before the release and they told us to spread the word on how much we enjoyed it.
I will say going by the 3D in the trailers this movie is going to look Amazing !! There's tons of great scenes that they've kept out of the trailers or barely touched on. This could very well beat out Guardians 2 in the 3D department which will make us all very happy.

The latest trailer I saw before Despicable Me 3 upped the humour - it made me cringe

Thanks> Review of the film in the sense that you enjoyed the movie and what it reminded you of. 80's adventure, etc. Sounds good to me.

The fact there showing of the start of the film in cinemas is a bad sign financially speaking. It may attract more people, but it is usually only done to try and attract an audience that is not tracking to turn up at the moment (films like John Carter for example tried this closer to release when it became clear it was heading into financial disaster territory).

Saw Spider-Man and didn't get the opening with my print. Hell, we got the trailer and they didn't put the 3D version with my 3D print. Non of my trailers had the 3D trailers and that kind of pisses me off, as I always made sure I added them when I worked projection.
