Asking people at the movie theater to stop interrupting you from enjoying a movie.

In fairness, when I take my phone out during a movie I go to the lowest brightness possible and it usually doesn't have a huge illuminated area.

Yep. The "me first" and "only I matter" attitude these days makes the theater experience very dodgy. Ive gone a few times but stick to weekday matinees for best results.

And, even a decent home setup is so good that you are missing less and less by staying home. The potential negatives outweight the benefit of the big screen IMO.

I honestly very rarely ever experience issues, and I live in a very crowded area with all kinds of people. The last time there was ever any kind of issue was a baby crying about halfway through Rogue Nation, and someone yelled "Really?!" and the parent took the kid out. Whole thing lasted maybe a minute.

I saw a fairly young couple bring what appeared to be a six month old to the Force Awakens preview showing.... Everyone looked at them when they tried to sit in the front row area but left soon after....dumb idea to try this....good idea to leave.

I'm also covering the top with my hand and holding it very close.

I've never had anyone complaina about that. When the brightness is turned to the very lowest setting it's really hard to see.

Do we care? I certainly don't. If they are being ignorant and ruining the movie, they are morons. It's that simple to me.

What part of leave your phone off and shut up during the movie do you entitled children not understand? If it's really that important, walk out of the theater and then check your phone. If it's not, leave it in your pocket like a grown-up.

You don't need an alamo drafthouse to tell the audience to not use their phones or they will kick you out. You just need to get up, leave the theater, report it and let the theater deal with it for you.
