Some newer NZ titles to consider - 'Hibiscus & Ruthless' and 'Take Home Pay'. Additionally, who thinks 'Mega Time Squad', 'Mortal Engines' and 'Jojo Rabbit' should be added as NZ co-productions?;

Still waiting for a Blu ray release of the brilliant Shame (1988) by Steve Jodrell.
And the hard work is already done, NFSA did a 2K restoration for MIFF only a couple of years ago. C'mon Umbrella, you had it on DVD, bring the new NFSA transfer to Blu!! |

Jirga, which had a limited theatrical release in late 2018 has no local retail release whatsoever, however, there is a U.S. Blu-ray. |

Referring back to your original posting - Perhaps you might want to add the following:
Bad Taste, Human Traces, Daffodils, Take Home Pay, The Irrefutable Truth About Demons, Killer Sofa and Mega Time Squad. I assume that you will not include 6 Days and Jojo Rabbit for the same reason you have not included The World's Fastest Indian and Battletruck. |

Please delete, sorry wrong thread
For those unaware, Lord Summerisle's line: "Here comes the chopper to chop off your head," as the swordsman make the symbol of the sun during the scene at the stones near the end of the film. Is missing from the new HD/SD hybrid of the Director's cut, but it is still present on th SD version on the extras disc. A little disappointing to say the least. Although this concerns a North American release, it is a AU/NZ title. 'Jack Be Nimble' is scheduled for a limited edition Blu-ray release on 26 July. It is a 4k restoration and has a number of extras. I do not know what other territory releases are scheduled. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Jack-...lu-ray/319470/

I received my ordered copy and it is an all-regions disc. I have uploaded new info on the BD at my site, including some suggestions as to where to purchase. https://www.nzvideos.org/jack.html

I ordered Jack Be Nimble from a seller on ebay. I was going to order directly through the distributor but they were sold out. I was shocked, did think it would sell out so quick. Good to see it is far more well known than I thought.

Exactly, which makes me think there are rights issues. Miramax released it theatrically in the US and it’s been on Paramount + here so it may have been included in their share of the catalog.

Icon released it here, unfortunately they have a tendency to let things go out of print. That's the only version so far, so it could certainly do with a US release.

In case you haven't heard - David Blyth's Moonrise, Grampire, My Grandpa is a Vampire is coming to Blu-ray in October. But, so far, it would appear only in the US, but it will be a Region Free disc, so your only issue might be the shipping charge. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=354116

This Aussie film is being given a BD release by Umbrella.
![]() Stars Jake Jarret, Lincoln Lewis and Evie from Gogglebox. I was initially excited, but then I saw that the writer/director was Chris Sun (writer/director of Boar). I would have blind bought but “Boar” is probably the worst films in my collection, with the exception of Police Academy’s 3-7. Boar was a shitshow IMHO, it made Razorback look like The Shawshank Redemption by comparison. And speaking of great Aussie films, I would love to see Peter Weir’s The Year of Living Dangerously with a proper Blu-Ray transfer (and not the dodgy Spanish cable bootleg). Mel Gibson plays an ABC Radio reporter sent to Indonesia to cover the “Yellow Peril” in the 1960’s, when the West was convinced that the domino effect would mean the nations of South East China would all soon become communist. Really good tense drama, with some thriller elements, with Linda Hunt in an Oscar Winning role as a journalist who befriends Gibson, taking him under his wing. TYOLD also co-stars Sigourney Weaver who plays Gibson’s love interest. One of Weir’s best movies, up there with The Truman Show and Master and Commander. |

Apologies if I've missed it, but I don't see Spirits of the Air, Demons of the Clouds mentioned so far.
