Going with Black Panther in a squeaker. I think Pacific Rim Uprising will underperform, and it will be one of those weekends in which both Disney and Universal/Legendary (Wanda) dispute each other's numbers until final estimates come out on Monday.

Legendary really hasn't done well domestically since the Wanda acquisition, and I'm not sure if its marketing or just a bad run.

Black Panther $19.8 mil
Pacific Rim Uprising $19.6 mil
Sherlock Gnomes $16 mil
Midnight Sun $3 mil

PRU is lucky it comes out 6 weeks after BP so it will have no problem taking the top spot. But holy crap it looks like trash and it seems people are really split on it too.

Sherlock is killing it today at my theater today. Its in the large audutoriums and they are really full. Seeing it today.

All the puns people hated in the Sherlock trailer weren’t in the movie. Some other things in the trailer weren't in the movie either (farting gnome, dancing gnome, etc)
