I only watched it once, but that seems about right. It did sound good at least.

I believe Die Hard was anncouned months before. I would assume this will get an August release date for the sequel.

Here in the UK (if we use the Die Hard release as a guide) - amazon.co.uk will put the product page up a week or so after it's actually been released. Real casual like.

If there's no dnr, sounds awesome. Hopefully Total Recall is also in the works.

The blu-ray of this is really ugly, lol. Shame, as it's one of the most badass movies I've ever seen. Makes me feel so manly after seeing it lol

I’ll only be missing 3 out of my 5 favourite action movies now. Die Hard check, Predator check. Terminator? Lethal Weapon? First Blood

There was the Digital Bits rumour that all the Rambos are being prepped for UHD. So that should cross First Blood off your list (eventually)

Cliffhanger would be nice, not only because I love it, but also because it's Sony. Oh the possibilities

Yeah I read that rumour, don’t want to jinx it. Cliffhanger would be very welcome in my house. One of the better 90’s action flicks.

Sorry to go off thread. But that's the first time i've heard of Cliffhanger mentioned in the 4k forums. Uh yes please, i would like some of that very much.
p.s. Predator is my number one movie of all time, so yeah count me in.

If it's the same transfer as the Ultimate edition, I'll pass.

Give it a new 4K scan from the o-neg for the love of god.

Too bad Fox still isn't in the full 12 bit Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos remix camp (yeah, yeah, I know give us the original soundtrack too)!

What happened to your HDR10+ support, eh Fox?

If the transfer on both the 4K and Blu-Ray is not DNRed to death, I will definitely upgrade.

Predator is one of the best movies ever made...period. It should have a pristine 4K re-master both on UHD and BD. I'm talking flawless, Sony standards. And if Fox can throw Predator 2 with the same treatment, that would be a nice bonus. I'm crossing my fingers!!

But it'll never look "great," so adhering it to some "Sony" standard goes against the knowledge of how the film was shot and edited. It will always be grainy and somewhat dull, and all the zoomed opticals make grain in some scenes chunky and ugly. And that's how it's always looked.
