Was White Nights a MOD release? Had to order it from BullMoose since Amazon never seems to have these in stock on release date. I think Amazon is turning into Best Buy - only stocking the latest blockbusters. If it wasn't because I order a bunch of other stuff I'd drop Prime.

Any reason you're comparing only BBY in-store and not adding their online items which is more comparable to Amazon.com anyway?

Bestbuy.com is far more comparable to Amazon.com -- except BestBuy isn't feuding with the 2 companies that release 50-70%+ of product and seem to handle the Allied Vaughn MOD products better.

Unless you're saying that Amazon is turning into BBY B&M without even the excuse of having actual B&M stores making it far worse.

Here's hoping for Blake Edwards' Skin Deep. A Morgan Creek title originally distributed by Fox. Wrner released it on dvd and MOD but it's now OOP.

Infrequent, there hasn't been a consistent schedule like WAC.

Once a month, but it's always scattered. A HD release of Pacific Heights is coming in May on iTunes, so hopefully means that it's in the next batch of releases.

Pacific Heights would certainly make sense, given the last few announcements. I'll surely take it.

I'm so glad to see all the love for Pacific Heights! I watched that film SO MANY TIMES as a kid, and it seems strangely forgotten now. Fantastic little thriller from John Schlesinger. Great script, great central villain performance from Michael Keaton, fantastic lead performance from Melanie Griffith, who was one of my favorite actresses as a kid, and a superb supporting ensemble.

In addition it has one of Hans Zimmer's best scores. Jump to 3:14 here for the main theme:

I wonder if it will have the original Fox logo at the front. I no longer have my VHS, I can't remember if the music started under the logo, I'll have to check my Warners DVD tonight to see if they just switched in their own logo. Amazing how this title has traveled from home to home for various formats.
