The UK set isnt, so no probably not. Or i might be picking up this US set myself in the future, so im definitely assuming they're not.

I was just wondering if we might get these remastered versions in the UK. Because we did get the remastered Saturday Night Fever over here.

Altho iv just looked at the release dates of that film, and we got it pretty much at the same time as the US, so from the fact we havnt had any release news of Beverly Hills Cop over here, maybe we arnt gonna get them. (unless it just happens as a surprise with no news of it)

Guys, he's saying that he has the existing German trilogy BUT that the new set with 4K transfers and new extras will surely be an upgrade. That's what the hyphen is for, to distinguish between the two comments.

Depressing this isn't on UHD disc, but I'll probably buy it anyway. These strike me as movies that could easily be censored someday, so it'll be nice to have new 4k scans on disc. Crossing my fingers for a crappy HDR pass so I don't feel tempted to buy both.

Why do you think these movies would be easily censored?

If they're going all out and scanning these in 4k then it does seem like a uhd double dip would be inevitable, especially for a franchise with this kind of popularity. Perhaps they're just reviving the old trick of a 'mastrered in 4k' blu followed by uhd shortly after that was more common a few years ago. The soundtracks for the first couple of movies are fairly iconic for the era and so I'd definitely want discs over digital in this case.

Unfortunately, it was just announced this past week that the fourth film is now being developed as a movie for Netflix.

But I would hope Paramount will still distribute it on Blu-ray, perhaps have Netflix has it exclusively for awhile.

For those itching for 4K disc releases...

Coming to America 2 is coming soon. They dragged ass on giving the first three Mission: Impossible films lossless tracks until Fallout came out. Same for the Tomb Raider films.
