This thread hasn't been updated in a month - is anyone aware of any upcoming MUBI releases? They really are slaying it, releasing films we otherwise wouldn't have on physical media. |

MUBI also has a great film that just started streaming a couple of days ago called The Bacchus Lady (2016). A must see film - simply brilliant, funny, moving and sad all rolled into one. I have the Korean DVD which is now out of print but would love MUBI to release a Blu Ray of The Bacchus Lady - one of the very best films of the lost couple of years. |

Happy to see Azor being released, considering only a handful of indies showed it and Picturehouse didn’t.

Yes, saw that! Slightly frustrating to see First Cow drop in price so soon after I bought it, but ah well (that's the game we play!). I'm tempted by about 5 in the current offer...considering which exactly but will definitely go for at least a couple. I already bought both Bacurau and Ema not that long ago as they weren't ever reduced in price until now!
Hope we get more UK Blu-rays from MUBI in the new year. I understand they have Bergman's Island (as well as Hansen-Løve's next film, One Fine Morning), The Worst Person in the World, Benedetta, A Chiara and Lingui, The Sacred Bonds - each of which I'm fairly keen to see. Let's hope at least a few of those make it to Blu-ray! |

Just watched Border for the first time via the MUBI BD. Fascinating film and a nice transfer but absolutely crying out for some extras which, unfortunately, are not provided.

I wonder if yours was a one off (warehouse damage or similar)? Could you pop in store and ask for a slip (or buy one with and return your slipless copy)? They're included in the 20% off offer in Fopp atm, so may be more financially prudent? |

![]() I saw it a few months ago in the cinema here and it is quite good but not great, in my opinion. The acting is solid and the cinematography was great, though, so the Blu-ray should be excellent. If there's no word on a US release, I will definitely pick up MUBI's BD. |

Surprised Lionsgate haven’t dated a US release. Unless it’s going to be exclusive to their webstore as an oversized release with a book.
I thought it was solid but it’s one of the weaker films this year. The concepts are really interesting, the actors are good, it’s well shot with good production design. But I think it had perhaps too many plot twists and red herrings that it got a little exhausting and perhaps unintentionally funny. [Show spoiler] With MUBI they have essentially two windows, a theatrical window of 1-3 months, and then after the streaming release the disc might not be for another 1-2 months. Though in time for Easter would make sense. Surprisingly MUBI are probably the most active UK label for world cinema. |
