Hey Cmb62492, I didn't call you an idiot and didn't said you started the rumors. If you read the previous posts here, the entire discussion started after Dave Lee tweeted and then posted his YT 'news' regarding this release (based on a fan made cover and the listing here on the site). The quote in that specific post also belongs to him. I've linked your video and mentioned that 'some Youtubers already fell' for his rumors. That was the extent that post was refering to you so I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

I really hope they release that Blu-ray set soon. As convenient as the app is, I like having the superior sound/picture quality of watching a disc.

The HBO Max streams look nice. Small animation error at the end of episode 3 I hope they can eventually correct, but otherwise the HD remaster looks quite nice to my eyes.

I really hope we get disc news soon. At the very least have Vudu update the streams to HD. (They still need to upgrade their Teen Titans ones as well.)

They are probably gauging viewership on HBOMax, as they did with Young Justice when re-streamed and eventually picked up for Season 3, etc.... so if you want this on BD, I would say dig into it there!

What's this about BTAS being DNRd? Is this only on the HBOMax stream, or are you talking about the BDs, as well? (I'm guilty, I haven't picked up that set, yet.)

Young Justice was renewed for season 3 in 2016. It premiered on DC Universe before they shuttered that service and moved it over to HBO Max in December.

They announced season 4 at the 2019 Comic-Con panel, almost a year before HBO Max launched.

Is there any word that hbo max is aware of the green screen looking error on part 3 of episode 1 of Superman the animated series? it’s when lex is at his desk it’s behind him. Also are they ever going to put the missing two episodes of static shock on hbo max?

Yes, I just meant wherever the previous seasons were streaming -- the creators were clearly letting fans know via Twitter, etc. that Warner Bros. was paying attention to how many people were watching the older seasons once they started showing up for streaming.

What sucks about this show not getting a Blu Ray release is I can’t get HBO MAX where I live. I find it very strange WB put the money into remastering the show for HD & then they barely even bother announcing it was even on HBO Max. This is a beloved show. Where’s the press?

Watching Batman TAS & Superman TAS shows you just how much better traditional ink & paint cel animation is compared to the digital process. The digitally rendered episodes of Batman Beyond don’t look near as good as the ink & paint ones. Yeah digital has a more consistent look & it’s harder to go off model but the imperfections is what makes it human. I really miss this sort of aesthetic. The colours can look like they were painted right directly onto your screen(the HD version of Batman TAS episode called “Sideshow” is a GREAT example of this. There’s a shot of Batman stepping in a puddle while chasing after Killer Croc and the effect of all the colours blending together to make a water ripple is just glorious)

The bad news? There’s been all sorts of reports about the HD version of Superman TAS having a few errors & remastering mistakes. My friend estimates this is due to the remastering process being largely automated to keep costs down and so mistakes are missed. There’s one infamous shot featured in the last of the 3 parter pilot episodes that shows Superman floating just outside Lex Luthor’s window. It’s a great shot which is even shown in the opening credits sequence. Except with this remaster a big green screen is shown where Lex’s window is suppose to be, I guess when the show originally aired they had to composite the shot in and they are missing the necessary element now? But again, the shot is featured in the opening credits and there’s no green screen visible there. Very odd. Does anyone know if this has been fixed? I’ve heard WB knows it’s an issue but I have zero idea what they are doing about it, if anything.
