Agreed. Everyone brought something to the table.
This is something that Die Hard does particularly well, too. Makes both movies worth watching again and again.

The first film is by far the best. I can enjoy part II, but it just starts to get more ridiculous and unbelievable... until part 3 where it basically decends into a farce. I think part 1 is the perfect blend of believable action, humour and story.

2 edges it, but I see them as one whole.

The first has one of the best Dolby Stereo mixes ever made for front separation.
Would be a shame if it's the "70mm" mix or, worse a terrible new mix.

I disagree. Murphy was boring in the 3rd film. IMO.

Yep. Pretty much every character in Die Hard is memorable, from John McClane and Hans Gruber all the way through to the fists with your toes aeroplane dude and convenience store clerk.

I'll bet over half the people when watching that scene for the first time, started making fists with their toes.

I have a soft spot for BHC3, May not be as funny but it’s got the best action & cameos galore & Teresa Randle is yummy.

I don’t see how anyone could see Die Hard, take a flight, and NOT try the toe thing! Especially before the internet it felt possibly true lol.

Glad this is getting a UHD release after the BD trilogy hinted at the possibility but I'll admit I'm much more interested in 48 Hrs getting a 4K master. Plus the sequel needs to have the director's cut released.

I wouldn't say Murphy was boring. It's just that he wanted to play a more mature version of the character and the script never quite found the balance between comedy and action-drama he wanted. I would hazard a guess that Metro was closer to what Murphy had in mind for Cop III.
