Walmart reduced the price on my pre-order to $299. Umm so for all the posts saying it's not worth $350, well the effective price is going to be less apparently.

I think it was a competitive price match but I don't know who else is offering it at 300.

Walmart mysteriously did this for a number of pre-orders (same for Metroid Dread collector’s edition) citing ‘price match’. Prevailing theory seems to be somebody screwed up something in their system and price matched the standard model SKU. Some people even had luck getting Target to price match that while Walmart still had it live for $299.

My pre-order at Walmart for months said it would come Sunday. They never shipped anything and now the order is delayed. They have ones going for like $500-$600 on the site from 3rd Party Sellers. Right now my order just says "Delayed, check back for updates" as it has since Sunday. I wasn't in a hurry or anything, I'm in the middle of a game anyway, but I am worried that it won't ever ship. Customer service doesn't know anything of course. Just said the order is still good and it will ship.

They didn't ship until Monday, over a week late. But in any case, I've got it now. I took it out of the shipping box just to make sure they sent the right thing, but I haven't taken the Switch out of the box yet. Once I finish GOT I have to decide where to do Sonic Colors (on PS) or play Super Mario All Stars, the only Switch game I have at the moment. I haven't played any of the 3 games on it.

Nintendo says Switch OLED already has a tempered screen protector. Has anyone added a second one to it?

Some are unaware of it and Nintendo says not to remove it.

I added a second one, definitely do not remove the one that’s already on there.

Folks are actually doing that, huh.

Given it already has one, why stick a second one to it? Isn't the Nintendo tempered glass screen protector solid enough to handle it?

From what I read, the Nintendo one is more to cover any broken glass pieces and not to actually offer screen protection from drops or other issues. It doesn’t even appear very thick and by appearances my Switch looks like it really only has one protector on it.

The OLED Switch has TV connectability, right? Considering getting another TV Switch but not sure I want to spend an extra $100 just for an OLED screen lol.
