This U.S. release is supposed to be getting a NEW 4K transfer apparently.

Lionsgate distributes StudioCanal in the U.S. for most releases

Just because StudioCanal does something in one region it does not necessarily mean it would reflect in the US;

There won't be a new transfer. Has anybody seen any reports or interviews from or with James Cameron saying that he took time off from making his 100 Avatar sequels to approve or work on a new transfer? Because it isn't getting done without him.

The U.S. is not getting a remaster. The thread I pointed you to has several pages of people who understand that. If you care to read those pages, feel free to disagree with them too and tell them about the super duper special U.S. James Cameron 4k edition.

At this point all I can do is point the way and with some evidence, you can of course believe whatever.

I didn't mention anything in regard the US getting a new remastered version.

I just pointed out that what is in the twitter thread is NOT pertaining to the US release since StudioCanalUK is referring to THEIR version.

But I guess this is pertaining to MattBowers2020's comment; This U.S. release is supposed to be getting a NEW 4K transfer apparently.

But my points are;
a) it has NOT been confirmed anywhere that the US will be getting new discs as of yet. I hope we do, but there is no confirmation of this.

b) Lionsgate does not release ALL things that have been released by StudioCanal outside of the US. Even though they could.

The Lionsgate release of T2 has been and will be the 2017 SC master and therefore pertains to the SC/Lionsgate release. One is a reflection of the other.

Your original reply was how the SC tweet pertains to this release and I have explained a couple of times. You are going in circles arguing with me.
