Printing error, no Atmos or Vision.

I don't think the 4k look much different to the BR. If this VC1 encoded disc is the exact same as the previous BR, then I assume the 4k disc is from the same master and no new scan was done.
Watching side-by-side I can see a little bit more detail, but it isn't a notable step up that new scans usually bring and if I wasn't watching side by side I doubt I would be able to tell which is which with certainty. This BR looks pretty good though so it isn't as though either are clearly in desperate need of new scan.

Gruv shipped in cheap packaging and wound up with a couple small dents. Nothing horrific but ... darn it ... when will people understand the packaging is a HUGE part of the "deal" of collecting SBs ... ugh!! Will pop in and watch soon.

I have nothing to compare to since I’m coming from a “full screen” dvd lol but I think it looks solid. Not mind blowing. The DTS X is nice.

I wonder why the UK listings have disappeared? Looks like I'll be importing this, interested to see caps/reviews.

That's definitely a reason to skip this upgrade. I always thought the way this film was shot would make it not much of a candidate for much of a 4K upgrade anyhow. I think the Blu-ray looks fine enough, having watched it recently. Still a great film, either way.

Don't make assumptions about the 4k based on the bluray that's included in the set, especially when it comes to Universal. They rarely, if ever, provide remastered blurays in their 4k sets. The fact that it may be the same br says nothing.

Man, this looked pretty damn good. Decent detail, but great black levels. Warm lighting and tasteful, rich color scheme really shine. Nothing hot, clipped, blown out or oversaturated. Gorgeous brown, gold, green and blue. Not a ton of facial detail and grain rarely caught my eye, but it has it's moments.

I think one really standout HDR moment was Kim Basinger sitting on the trailer porch with the sun in her hair. That's the good stuff. Another part earlier in the movie that's almost the same for Mekhi Phifer. The abandoned house fire also looked amazing.

The movie holds up too. Haven't seen it in probably 12 years, but watched it on DVD a ton. Easy recommendation.

Amazon never ship their preorders early. They are always shipped soon after the release date, and whenever they get their copies inventoried into their system.

I think this movie is excellent. It's been a long time since I've watched it all the way through, so the 4K disc will be a good way to re-visit it.

This part of the review had me dying

"Superman" Music Video Uncensored (5:02) - "Lose Yourself" would've made more sense, but I'll take what I can get. Please note that the 4K version looks to be in HD, which is great if you like fake boobs.
