So bit confused on the versions here.
It seems that it does include the uncut version but the US version here is an odd mix of multiple cuts that consists of the US opening and ending with the Poe poem, the synth score on the old VHS, and nude inserts from other European versions? |

This and Blood on Satan’s Claw are currently under £19 on Amazon. I presume that they no longer ship with the slipcase and booklet. Has anyone received one from Amazon recently?

Received this from HMV today, but it’s not the Limited Edition version anymore, so no slipcover or booklet.

Saw this a few days ago. Bought it when it came out but just got to it now.
Totally a blind buy. Never owning a Price film, never heard of Tigon, and the goodwill that 88 Films has w/ me pretty much trusting it. Cover art really sold it to me too. I liked this one a good bit. Colors popped out so well, I didn't think it'd be a film w/ that kind of color scope at times. The gist of the plot is one of those that bothers me to the core just cuz of the history of nonsense that people were in for that period. Saying that, it does it well. I sort of expected it to have a tone or feel to it. In that it feels like a movie, if you know what I mean. Not that it didn't engage me, it did. Just feels like a production of that time. I was pretty pleased by how shitty the events that transpire here go about it. Ugly actions by some horrible people. The ending took me by surprise. You thought it was doing one thing but the movie changes it up to where it just feels it was attempting a sort of reality to itself. I sort of went into the features. I need to continue seeing the US version. I didn't go in too far. It did take me off guard w/ the music immediately. From what I did see, some of it worked for me and others didn't. The narrated set up there at the beginning? While not something I would have cared for. I think it probably works alright for the USA audience, not knowing so much of how it worked over there for this type of history. Interesting seeing how it works itself for us here. I did see the US alternate scenes they provided separately. I'll have to see the US version to see how it works it in comparison w/ the UK original. Fascinating film w/ a great UHD. Never heard of Tigon till last year but now they feel so special now that I also just saw Blood on Satan's Claw. A film that I think is amazing.
