Excellent. An essential film.

I was holding off buying the remastered Blu-ray (which has now gone up quite a bit in price) as I thought there might be a 4K on the way soon.

This is great news. I never met Price but I did meet Ian Ogilvy at a convention in the late 80's or early 90's and was able to get a Conqueror Worm one sheet signed.

Anybody who thinks Price was always camp and hammy needs to check him out in this film. Absolutely badass.

One of his finest roles and he's the epitome of evil.

I remember reading years ago about a funny incident that happened during filming.

"In one scene, Reeves needed Price to shoot his flintlock between the ears of the horse he was riding. When Price realised that Reeves had ordered an actual blank charge to be used so that the weapon's puff of smoke would be visible, he shouted, "What? You want the gun to go bang between the ears of this f*****g nag? How do you think he's going to react?"; however, Reeves insisted and, when the gun went off, the horse reared and sent Price tumbling onto the ground. Price was not hurt but he was extremely angered by the incident".

Even if he was, I love that version of Price. House Of Wax, Dr Phibes films, Theatre Of Blood, HOHH and The Masque Of The Red Death are all fantastic entertainment.

There was an interesting BBC radio play about the film's production, I think it was broadcast around 2011.
